I think Sweeney dumps some salary right before the draft.

Eriksson , ....will go .....I would love to make a trade with the Devils in order to get Crouse ....exchange our picks and give them Ericksson or else stay 14th and pick Meier, or Connor or Zubril

I will say no, but before camp yes. Most likely candidate to go ? Loui, teams will line up for him, good cap hit, good 2-way player, PK & PP player and a veteran presence. Oilers would love a player like that.

i think you have to expect DK to be healthy and he and Looch will put up some nice numbers... and Chara and Seides can be better and that should cut the goals against down maybe a little. so sign Hamilton and hope for the best.

I'm going to vote yes to think positive. I'm sure he's trying but not sure it'll happen. and no it's not Kelly he's trying to trade

Loui makes over $4 mil this yr. To free up room you need to trade somebody that other teams want. We already have the best Loui in the world in Bergeron, don't need 2. If the B's are looking to get back to their identity, then i don't see Fat going anywhere, Loui on the other hand is expendable. The question you have to ask yourselves, is Loui the type of player that the Bruins want to sign to another long term deal? He will need another deal next yr and will be older. I say let him go now, maximize your turn and get the cap space.

By the way, i like Loui, if the B's keep him i'm fine with it, but i just answered the question on the thread.

Plus LE is a pending ufa and will likely cleanup next summer from some desperate gm. Question then becomes, will DS be that desperate gm?

After all, no one's going to enter into a trade with you for someone who's not wanted (unless they're trying to reach the cap floor).

If he has, why trade a reasonable contract now? If the Teddy Purcells and Benoit Pouliots of the world are making $4.5mill per season then it stands to reason he will command much more. That's just the nature of free agency. Trade now while he still has value or do a desperate JB like trade later or wait even longer and watch him walk for nothing this time next season.

But a lot of Bruin fans want to trade in good all around players for tough overpaid, tough hitting players so Boston won't be boring.

Loui is definitely boring, but a good hockey player nonetheless, i just see him as a tradable player that Seabass and DS might not be enamoured with and would be willing to part with. You know Kelly is going nowhere San! Haha!

Eriksson with dead weight Kelly plus a pick could bring back something from the likes of Arizona or Edmonton. I would love Kelly and Smith bundled with a pick but a knowledgeable GM would want the #1 pick this year.
