Well, you see, in English grammar the rule is I before E except before dermeyer. LOL
It's really quite simple with the German "ie" and "ei". If it's pronounced like "I", then it's "ei". If it's pronounced like "ee", it's "ie".
Yeah, English likes to hedge it's bets. That's a weird bier you've got there.

Nice to see him getting going, and hopefully that will perpetuate into more opportunity. I assume he can still play for Latvia in the WJC this year...?

Interesting...point per game so far this year for Jellvik. Fifth in the team in scoring behind guys who were taken 23, 4, 8, and 5 overall. Sixth, Gasseau.

I watched the end of this game and it was quite entertaining. Jellvik and Gasseau were the difference, making those last two goal happen. Sadly, they victimized Svedeballs to do it.

Heh good news bad news. The Eagles have some fire power. Never out of a game. Should be DiPietro and Svedebäck for the PBruins next season.

Don't think it should carry over. But the next UMass-BC game should entertaining. Bunch of Eagle players did not like the hit.
The upcoming weekend should have some games to report on. The kids that were at the U20 didn't play this weekend for obvious reasons.

The kids that were at the U20 didn't play this weekend for obvious reasons. Yeah, that was a stupid hit, and I see UMass and BC have a double header in February. These IIHF suspensions seem kind of meaningless when they take place at the end of the any team's tournament run. Not much deterrent for a dirty garbage time hit or starting fights from the losing team, as seen from Locmelis and Anton Johansson. It would be interesting if the IIHF told all teams that a condition of playing is that they must honor suspensions in whatever league these kids go back to. Anyhow, I hope Locmelis gets his game going with UMass, either way.

Quinnipiac next year I think. Pretty cool that he's on a line with Beckett Henderson, our other draft pick from last year and both are playing well. Those two will split up for a couple years of NCAA and likely get back together on a line in Providence in a few years if all goes well.

Jellvik

Jellvik looks really good every time I see him now. And he's competing for ice time (and getting it) within that slew of 1st-round, big-time prospects at BC.
There have been a couple of games where he and Gasseau might be the best BC forwards, among Smith (4th overall), Gauthier (5th overall), Leonard (8th overall), and Perrault (23rd overall).
Perhaps they don't quite have that blow-the-doors-open talent of those guys, but it's nice to see them in that top-6 mix, given that Jellvik was drafted at #149 and Gasseau was #213.
