I would rather the B's lose to the Bolts than the Leafs! I'd like to have a quiet summer! Bad enough when the Leafs win a rd. Let alone one against the B's! And for whiny bitches to be bringing up refs & the job they did when the B's could only muster 8 fucking shots in the 1st 2 periods is absolutely pathetic! The lack of shots on goal was also related to the clutch, grab, hook and trip-fest throughout the game...anyway, let's smoke the Sens tonight and go into the Playoffs feeling better.

I agree completely. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we won or lost round 1 based on the eye test. Marchand hasn’t wowed me at all of late. The only F whose game I've liked since the ASG is Zacha. He's raised his level of production to 0.88 points/game in his last 32, and raised it again to point/game territory since mid March. All that despite Pastrnak dipping; he's only 18th in point/game since then, not top 5. Marchand's only 5-15-20 in 32 games and he's -4. He's been a turnover machine, and for a guy who has the ability to change the tempo of a game with his hustle and emotional commitment, he's been awfully quiet and well-behaved. DeBrusk has been stuck below .5 points a game in the second half; he's never been able to extend a hot streak. Maybe that's a source of hope for the playoffs because even as snakebitten as he's been, he could still hit 20 for the season. Freddy's pace has dipped, when he goes quiet scoring, he seems to go quiet all around. Even the late hit last night seemed like an accident where the Cap seemed to move forward at the wrong moment and put himself in position for a square hit rather than a fly-by bump. Coyle's scoring as dipped slightly - again, it's amazing that he hasn't tanked alongside Marchand given how Brad's been playing - but his -12 just since the ASG is dire. To be fair, you gotta give some love to Heinen, Geekie and Brazeau because the secondary scoring has really stepped into the breach. In the last 13 games, Heinen's got 10 points and is +10. Throw Jesper in there. Not crazy about the way the D have played either with McAvoy -7 in the last 32 games and scoring at a reduced pace. Lindholm has been getting better, though, and Carlo's been steady enough though his modest offensive contribution is now non-existant. He has 1 point since the ASG. Grz has their best +/-. That's not good. It means they might play him in the playoffs. A lot will depend on the goalies. If they play the way they're capable of playing, I think the Bruins should take the Bolts. Tampa just doesn't have the team D they used to have, and I think Pastrnak can offset Kucherov which the depth offsets the advantage of Point and Stamkos. I think they might have an easier time with the Laffs because they've shown this year that they can score against them, have too much size for their D, and they're well set up to contain the big line by putting McAvoy and Lindholm on them all game every game. But no outcome will surprise me. Cup, 1st round sweep.... Not losing faith in Lindholm but is the skate guy playing games here. In the last 2 games on 3 occasions -- he's skating and just falls like a kid in need of one of those skating aids in an open session. Hasn't cost us yet but I find it puzzling.

Yep, i'll take the Bolts all day long and twice on Sunday, Canadian LeRf ball washing media is hard to listen to every night, it's insane really. I'll take the TNT or ESPN announcers over Sportsnet or should i say Leafsnet, less nauseating and over the top. That’s why the muting button exists…. Or has Canadian media Laffs’ ball washing also taken yours away (and you fear the Laffs)…. It’s a no brainer…. Vasilevski or the carcass the Laffs hang on their crossbar…. I’ll also take Kucherov over the half-Mexican desert guy twice on Sunday….

You're just noticing that now??!?!? First thing I remember about him when he came to Boston. He falls like Dennis Wideman. No rhyme or reason. Just whoopsiedaisy! and he's on his ass. But the good thing is that it isn't something that happens when he's under pressure or gets deked out of his jock. It's mostly ghosts and tripping on the lines.

Using the mute button to deal with annoying announcers is the perpetual debate for me. I hate watching a game without sound. If I could watch without commentary and still here the arena, the skates, the shots off the bar, I'm in. I have, at times, chosen to watch with music on in the background or in places like a bar that plays several games on big screens so there's no sound on any of them, but it's not ideal for a Bruins game. And I don't want to have to sit there with the remote in my hand all game muting between the whistles. Playoffs is the worst for this because you just get steamrolled with the Canadian teams all broadcast all the time. Rangers vs Capitals: "Panarin...over to Kreider! Oh! Great Save by Lindgren! You know, if the Leafs get that kind of save from Samsonov tomorrow night, it's going to go a long way to avenging their loss to the Panthers last year. And conversely, if that was Matthews from Marner, I'm not sure Lindgren gets a glove on that shot."

I like listening to the P by P, they give info and updates on players as the game goes, watching live games is different, you're in the crowd and involved. When watching TO it's just aggravating to no end but if the B's play them so be it. I personally think the B's will have their hands full with TO or the Bolts, no matter what you may think TO won a series last playoffs against the Bolts with the same goaltending and have added to their top 6 and D core, they won't be a pushover. The Bolts aren't as invincible as some people make them out to be, Vag isn't unbeatable. We'll see how the games unfold tonight.

The Bolts aren't as invincible as some people make them out to be, Vag isn't unbeatable. We'll see how the games unfold tonight. I think a lot centres on Vagisil. Is he the goalie who, prior to last year, had a career .919 s% and a 2.50 GAA to go with two rings and three Finals runs? Or is he the guy who, after missing time to injury, has a .900s% this year and close to a 3.00 GAA? He's still a big, athletic goalie, and Hedman still plays there. Dumba is a classic playoff wildcard - a guy who looked like he was going to be a #1D in Minnesota who lost his TOI, then his offensive confidence, then the whole top end of his game...but who could tap into past glory for a short period. They'll lean on the big Viking hard, nurse everything they can out of Perbix and Cernak, and then it will be on Cooper to get the most out of the mix of retreads they've collected. This is the second time in two years that the Bolts are going to finish under 100 points and under .600 in points%, and I think the rumours of them taking a full step backwards should be confirmed. But there's so much gravity assigned to name recognition and stars, and the Bolts have a lot of them up front with Kucherov, Stamkos, Point, and then secondary names like Cirelli and Hagel. Their depth isn't what it was, despite Nick Paul having a career year, and Duclair doing his usual arrive like a streak of light before going squirrelly and fading. If this is who they face, I think it'll be a good series, but it's one where I think the regular season standing accurately predict the quality of the teams...but as always, there's no team in the NHL that can play to the bottom third of it's ability and beat any NHL team playing in the top third of it's ability. So play solid Bruins hockey and they should be on to round two and whoever comes out of Flo-rida and the Laffs. Last one FWIW - over the last three years, the Bruins are 7-2-3 against the Tampans, outscoring them 38-29, or 3.17 to 2.42 per game. But this year, Tampa took 2 in OT/SO so took 6 of 8 points against the Bruins vs. the Bruins 4 of 8. Screw it. Let's just play hhhhhhhhockey!
