I hat blame refs too but that goalie interference call took the air out of a young team! Marchand now hurt?

Anyone else just see Marchand have to be pulled to the Boston bench? He looked hurt. They just showed the replay. Marchand tried to step into Weiss just as the Hab wound up to shoot and appeared to have caught his elbow.

Hayes and Beleskey barely cracking 10mins in TOI.
Sigh....

Last post, Colin Miller should play! Irwin needs to sit a game. Montreal sucks per usual!

B's 27mins in penalties to the Habs 6. At the risk of sounding nostalgic I would much prefer that discrepancy with Lucic and his antics...at least it was entertaining

Now the CBC crew of Reinsdorf and Galley (?) are talking about Julien's "leash."

What did Rinaldo get a 10 min misconduct for? Talk about reputation calls

Disallowed goal costs Boston a point, maybe two.

Exactly. Right now the Bruins are playing like a bunch of guys who've just met - which is kind of what they are. Gotta give them time to develop some cohesion.

Rinaldo gets a "defuse the situation" misconduct. I have no qualms with that. Man that fellow is great at stirring the pot.

Disappointed that when they're down 2 going into the third and needed to push, they could generate virtually zero offense. I know the back end is hurting them, but the forwards haven't been able to sustain any meaningful zone time in two games. Right now, this is about as low as they've been in a long time.

Prior to these first two games, how did you envision their record, jm? I figured they'd be 1-1.

He wasn't given a penalty. Just a misconduct. No need for him to get back on the ice. Standard hockey practice.

I had them starting 0-3, but then winning next 3... but I also imagined Chara and Seides healthy

A misconduct is a penalty! You can't just slap that on guys whenever you feel like it. Rinaldo may have crossed the line many times in the past, but as a Bruin he's been clean and pretty good

The Bruins just lost a game by one goal, in a game they had a goal wrongly disallowed, where Montreal had 3X the pp time on some dubious calls. This is a low point? Nah, not even close. I loved the Bruins game. Outhit the bad guys 33-16. Lots of speed and fun play. And this against a real good team with the top 2D out. I say bravo, let's build on this.

I'm assuming at the least he said something foul to get that slewfoot. I doubt that was random. Lots of other calls against Boston tonight were far worse and more impactful.
