Did he really? It's interesting that people like yourself actually believed that. Agreed I don't know about lost his job more like Cassidy road the hot hand in Dobby. While Rask had time to reflect, get himself together and get that inner fire of friendly competition back. ALSO GOALIE CONTROVERSY HALAK STARTING TONIGHT!!! ugh j/k the sports hub is the worst should of heard them on the radio today about it. Agree completely. Rask was never in danger of losing his job to a career backup. Cassidy, like many coaches before him, was just playing the hot hand. His strategy clearly worked too as Rask went on quite a run later in the season.

I have a feeling that, as with Doby last year, if Halak keeps being solid like he has, Tuukka will be . . . well, Tuukka.

I seem to recall Rasky being humdrum to start last season as well. Although his defence did him no favors, Tuukka stunk the joint out no question. I'll be interested to see how BlackJack does tonight. If he does well i could see Cassidy using him more often than not. The starters position isn't Rask's for life and it was only one game, gotta keep everything in perspective. I of course think Tuukka will get everything straightened out. Good point. He almost lost his job to Khudobin early last season and recovered. No he didn't
