For me the "fun" is being creative an making deals and trying to better my team. My team sucked last year, but the one thing I got out of it as the losses piled up and I missed the playoffs was pulling off a good trade and getting the pick. I'm sure it's the same for the Vag who made 375 moves to try to clean up Book's shitstain of a roster. He was happy he got 2 legit keepers to head into the next season with. Being satisfied with your moves IS the "fun". If they are rendered useless, that kills the fun. The other point is that I'm concerned 2 more teams will make it really hard for bottom feeders to improve. Right now the first 2 rounds and especially the first 5 or 6 picks are real good players. Teams that suck can turn it around in a season or two. An extra 2 teams means 18 more keepers, less on waivers during the year. It might make it hard to improve. Sizz says he was in an 18 team league and it was great. I'm happy to hear that and I think it's a good discussion to have, I just don't think you jump into it a month or two before the season. You discuss it, think it through if a 12 team league will work well and be fun for everyone, and if it is, find some more players for the next season. FFIW an expansion draft would have been awesome for me. I traded two keepers away last year and the year before, so I'd be exposing shit players, and I have an extra first rounder to add talent for the new season. My reasons against expansion right this minute are not selfish but about having a good, fun and fair league. |
