Jarry joins the club. Pots an empty netter vs Bolts.

Even without the goal. Hinny with a nice game overall.
Biggest upside tonight -- after all the rough stuff -- B's finally went back to FINISHING THEIR CHECKS......

Nice solid win. Nothing flashy.I thought the first period had vapours of their last three games, brew. The Bruins seemed out of rhythm with each other. Could have been the result of the line shuffling. They were much more forceful in the second and as shown by Heinen on his goal, they didn't piss around with the puck when the shot was there.

I have come down to the fact I have been naughty all my life and Santa is never going to grant me my Christmas wish. Grizz is never going to be traded. But we are playing SJ and 15 years ago we traded a future HOFamer, so there is a chance…

I don't care that we beat the sharts but happy for The Sway to get the goose egg and stop the minus 3, and to see JDB and Heinen getting goals!

I don't care that we beat the sharts but happy for The Sway to get the goose egg and stop the minus 3, and to see JDB and Heinen getting goals! They just play who's next. Even better if they can beat the Make Believes away on Saturday. Boat anchor Reaves was replaced by Bobby McMann on the fourth line tonight against the Jimmy Kraken Corn And I Don't Care.

Swayman shut out breaks the skid. He makes Ully expendable… NO HE DOESN'T! Fuck that! The one thing this team CANNOT afford to do is breakup the tandem! Neither goalie has shown they have the ability to be able to handle a 50-60 plus playoff work load & this team isn't good enough to try & find out. Trade whomever you must outside of Charlie McAvoy & Pasta, but you leave the tandem alone.

I wasn't impressed overall. took forever to figure out how to enter the zone on the pp. too many give-aways, not enough quality scoring chances. easy to see why the sharks have such a terrible record. they're physically weak, and don't win nearly enough board battles. the bruins proved their superiority in the 2nd, but the 1st and 3rd were underwhelming it's a start to the good, but a much better effort needed against TO, or it won't be pretty.

I will take the win, Poitras-Heinen and Carlo had a real good game. Poitras had a good game. Hadn't had one in awhile. Heinen found some open spots. Played well in the Detroit game. I like ornery Forbort he plays better. PP is better with Shattenkirk it just is.

Henien had a good game, I guess I have to change my view of his game. Although Bill Jaffe called him a utility knife, apply named. If Toronto wins the next game, it will be a shootout win.

Been telling you guys how Heinen adds skill to the lineup. Obviously the Poitras line was good, created some chances, and I felt like it was a good move to put 74 with 88/18...clearly 74 got that goal due to some nifty passing. Liked the B's PP except when 88 sends these stupid backhand cross ice passes...mind numbing how easy it is to steal puck. Worst 5-on-3 PP I've ever seen by San Jose...and loved the Coyle gets sandwiched and the 2 Sharks fall like dominoes. Carlo had a really good game, super job on PK, Zacha great game and 200-foot game was back after some terrible recent efforts. Sway is a shutout whore, and nothing wrong with that...take these and I'm glad they did put a defensive zero on the board as this 17 goals in 3 games bullshit needed to stop. Freddy, Forbort, Marchie all stepping in the fist/physical dept...also good to see that Big Bad B mentality. Go B's!

He's really crafty and the team’s best play making center already.

Freddy, Forbort, Marchie all stepping in the fist/physical dept...also good to see that Big Bad B mentality. Go B's! I always liked Heinen as a cheap roster addition. he's very very attractive at league minimum or slightly better. problem before, like many young players in the past, many want them gone if they don't turn into a major piece. Guys with Heinens skill set have the potential to over-deliver by 5 or 6 times their cost. It's a huge part of GMing and roster construction. Pastrs and MacAvoys are no brainers. You about have to give them what they want. It's monkey see, monkey do in this business, and no one ever lets their star players walk. It's a cap league, and you need a full team. As horrible as I thought Sweeney was in his first year or so, he's hit on several decisions in the last couple. Maybe he was always brilliant, and just had a string of bad luck, but he's done a great job since he got his footing, and his head screwed on straight. The Bruin brand is built on over delivery from the B and C pieces. Sure we've had our stars over the year, but after 72, we've generally had less than those teams in our winning category. We'd a had a pile of Cups between 73 and 06 if Harry operated under the same budget(see salary cap) as the rest of the league elites.

I like ornery Forbort he plays better. PP is better with Shattenkirk it just is. I like what I see with Poitras. If he matures well emotionally, he'll be a good player. I think that's even more important than ability. these kids are all plenty good at hockey. It's their ability to be taught, their work ethic, and their reaction to extreme wealth and fame, that imo creates a Patrice Bergeron type. the Crosbys and Orr's are generational. Those one percenters are in their own category, but someone like a Bergeron has a skill set only slightly higher than a large percentage of rank and file NHLers. Most of what PB became...imo, didn't happen on the ice. I like what I see, because I see what ive never seen with Jake DeBrusk or Seguin. sure they're pretty good, but to me, JD is "just another 25 goal scorer". that's important, but I think that's his ceiling. it was always his ceiling imo. I think I see something with Poitras, like I saw with Marchand right out of the gate. I think he wants it more than many. if coaches smell that, they'll tolerate more snafus along the way.
