The Blue Jackets make me sleepy. Here's hoping for an entertaining game.

Grizz back to the lineup means a thrashing. 5-0 Bruins According to daily faceoff, Grz is not in the lineup. Couldn't find anything else online.
And why should Montgomery change a winning team?
Wotherspoon has done a good job vs the red Wings.
Again, I don't care that Matt Grzelcyk makes more money than Mason Lohrei, "Captain" ShatnerKirk and Parker Wotherspoon combined. AFAIK the Blue Jackets are a heavy team. Makes absolutely no sense to have Grz in the lineup.

Matt Grzelcyk, who returned from injured reserve Saturday, moved out of the lineup in Detroit in favor of Parker Wotherspoon. Grzelcyk landed five shots on net vs. the Devils, only one fewer than Pastrnak. He was sore the next day, the training staff suggesting added rest would benefit him. “Gryz was really good,” said Montgomery. “I loved his poise with the puck, especially in the offensive zone. His gaps were good and he always helps in transition, right?
“But I was really happy how he held on to pucks in the offensive zone, and that was a big part of why we were able to sustain that second period like we did.”
Grzelcyk is expected to return to the lineup vs. the Blue Jackets. COUGH, TURN YOUR HEAD SIR, COUGH.

"...and he always helps in transition, right?" Yes, right - in transition for the other team with his unforced giveaways galore...

"Poise with the puck", my ass. He's "poison with the puck" for his own team. Is Grzelcyk married? Why couldn't he get hammered, get naked and pull his wife's hair?

I mean to be fair, he was good in that game...but that doesn't mean his body of work isn't god awful despite his silly high plus last year

And Grz is in the lineup, according to nhl.com. Plus John Beecher is a healthy scratch, and The Merk now has to center the fourth line. So it's official: Montgomery is certifiably nuts.

Nuts, and if Heinen is the first line or even the second he is certifiably so!

Nuts, and if Heinen is the first line or even the second he is certifiably so! Heinen has been moved up to the third line, with Freddie & JVR. Why? No idea. (Okay, he and Dr. Evil Montgomery have some history.) I like what kelvana posted a couple of weeks ago: putting scoring line players from the AHL or junior leagues on checking lines in the NHL won't help them, on the contrary. They have to re-invent their game, and on the highest level possible to boot, setting them up for failure.

Too many passes for perfect, backdoor shots...should always be 3-4 passes max before it goes to the net. Take it to the net and create rebounds. Sounds simple really.

Can’t think of any player that had a decent 1st period — maybe Geeks

2 PP and only 5 shots on goal in the period?! CBJ with 9 blocked shots. Bruins are taking it easy on "Spencer, Spenc..."*

This period was a step back to the crappy play before the Christmas break. Montgomery just had to mess with the lineup. He seems to be playing favors. Why is Heinen on the 3rd line tonight? And who was on the ice on d when the BJs spent about a minute in the B's end? #48 of course, just waving his stick at opposing players, never taking the body. Sir Alf Ramsey (only coach to win the soccer world cup for England): "Never change a winning team." The B's played well against Detroit. No reason to change anything, but not for Dr. Evil...

Gryz got his two minutes worth on that one. If I saw MacAvoy circle the net one more time in the Ozone...I was going to throw my shoe at the TV. Shoot!

Grizz back to the lineup means a thrashing. 5-0 Bruins Gryz with 1 assist so far and a major league mauling, don't mess with menacing Matt!
