Can’t say they haven’t had their chances. But cant finish against a good team but does not have the great defense they used to have. Again too many 4th liners on the Bruins. An AHL callup on the 3rd line ?

An AHL callup on the 3rd line ? Yep. A credit to the excellent team system that obviously allows them to compete with any team. Even with 5 ahlers and a few castoffs. But one can only wonder what the team could accomplish with a couple more legit NHLrs. Remember this is supposed to be a down year so reinforcements are likely not on their way. Maybe Brown from the ahl….

one of the odd games where B's outshoot competition, but I didn't like the game at all. record, post break is the important stat going into the playoffs. everyone is turning it up now. are we simply slumping..or are we getting figured out? is this long home stand feeding complacency and lack of focus? is the pp cold, or just not good enough? the pussy point thing is concerning. masks how regularly we're getting beat. Tampa isn't/hasn't been a great team all year. they're missing some big players. maybe it's just the effect of their great pp, compared to our rather anemic giving me a false impression of this one? It’s just not that complicated, they aren’t that good. They got off to a great start, banked a bunch of points against tomato cans and stole points due to the goalies being excellent. But now, the goalies are “good”, the D is OK, the offense is thin and the loss of 37 and others is showing up as glaring, particularly in the leadership category. They can’t win faceoffs or clear the puck. The pp is a joke. McAvoy is afraid to hit anyone. AHL players up and down the bench. They will glide into the playoffs and lose in the first round to any number of low seed teams that are just better hockey teams than the Bs right now. I forget which bruins was being interviewed lately that said the teams that have played the Bs hard on the puck every play… Wash, Calg, Det, Minnesota basically have them figured out. The formula to beat the Bs isn’t even a secret or a surprise any more. No toughness, physical or mental, easy to push around and get off their game. No way this team wins a playoff round. I’ve watched other teams handle TB with ease this year. The Bs just aren’t good enough. I don’t think they should waste resources at the deadline either. They could have picked up difference makers already but didn’t. Even Patrick Kane was a freebie out there. This team can’t be fixed with a couple bandaids.

Our team sucks other than our goalies, 10th pussy point, It's on Sweeney to better the team:rolleyes: 3 of 4 losses on current 7 game homestand. I'll take the pussy point...the B's had multiple chances to score in OT, robbed by Vas and the PP simply sucked...the special teams overall is the biggest thing to work on...they need to re-do the PK and really start changing up guys on the PP...the current #1 simply sucks over the last several games.

I'm ok with the point, not Braden of course but getting 1 is better than none. The PP let them down and Vas didn't help. The B's and the bolts would be a juicy 1st round matchup. I’d be thrilled to get Braden. Oh for sure, just didn't need him scoring the SO winner, great player.

Thank goodness the B's are 1st in the East, can't imagine what this place would be like if the were in 9th or 10th. It's a long season, some days are diamonds and some days are stone, B's just stomped the league leaders from the West a few days ago. I don't know, take a deep, breath and carry on, Kraken next.

Really not concerned...the win rate of Monty's tenure as a B's coach is simply OFF THE FUCKING CHARTS...so to get these 60-minute ties when you are tops in the East...well, that's necessary and keeps the team from really faltering.

Yep, wasn't everyone here hoping for some adversity this season as opposed to the steamroller they were last year when everything was too easy? I guess if we consider 1st in the East as adversity.

The problem is , that historic, near impossible win rate from last year (before, you know, one of the most historic first round collapses in sports history, with your awesome coach being one of the main culprits), statistically adding to the record this year is just a mirage. Adding last years historic “win rate” to this years shadow of that team is statistical mumbo-jumbo at its finest. Next we will be quoting “win probability,” lol.

I’ll give you credit, looking at a win over Vancouver (who promptly lost to Detroit the next game) while ignoring the 3 weak-ass losses that wrapped around it is some positive thinking. I’m not sure what’s easier. Looking at a 9th place team that’s much better than that and anticipating the upswing or watching a first place team that’s a mirage and another embarrassing failure in the making.

Except for the lackadaisical play at times on the powerplay, this was a "good" loss as compared to Wash. and Calgary. I was actually okay with the powerplay when they had the puck, many chances, but when they lost it...they gave TB 3 golden opportunities. Thankfully, Linus bailed them out. The effort and 5-on-5 play was solid.

And the Wings got smoked by the Oilers last night, anything can happen, nothing is a given. I believe Detroit lost a goalie last night as well, tough going forward unless they play Lyon every night.

Sweeney has his work cut out if he plans on doing anything at all.

Oh ffs. A minor bump on the long and dreary road of the regular season. The only question to ask is this. Is this team good enough to win 4 out of 7?
Against superior teams, maybe not, but I think the East is not that deep this year, so great goaltending might be all we need. #63s' Swan Song.

Kings roll in Saturday around lunchtime. Got back on track vs Devs last night in a close match after an embarrassing 7 - 0 loss to Barfalo. Caught in points by Fla but behind via less ROW’s.
Lots of tailgating in that rear view mirror.
