6 8" and Jake took you down? Riiiight. The dingdong lost an edge. The way he stayed down, you'd think he also lost his dingdong Speaking from experience?

That beat down by the Flamers was just what the Doctor ordered, worked like a charm. The Nucks are who we thought they were, posers, loved looking at Tocchet's ugly mug after every B's gl, beautiful.

I keep waiting for the Nucks to go on a bit of a skid but so far it hasn't happened. Rutherford seems to have made all the right moves, from coaching to player trades and additions. I'm not sure they will make the Cup final, but they will be one tough out. This all being stated, B's 5-0. You were close 50...and maybe here is where they go on that skid. Could of hit 5 if Monty had put out the #1 PP unit, would have loved that, Heinen, Geekie and Wotherspoon just wasn't cutting it....i'll take 4-0, no complaints! Would love to see the Nucks go on a skid, love it, their fans are getting a little high and mighty.

Nice bounce back win from the dreadful Calgary game. Monty called the effort poor in that game but I'm sure he was happy with the effort in this game.

This game is a polar opposite to the Calgary game, much better skating, checking, shooting, focus & intensity. In every asset. Bs played like they were embarrassed about the Calgary game.

Canuck Sportsnet announcers are bemoaning their club being in stuck in some sort of low gear tonight. Maybe. Or could it be the Bruins playing more to their capabilities this game? me thinks you're both right. interesting announcer tidbit, last night featured 2 kinda hometown guys for me, hockeywise. Brickley was an impact player here, the last year we had the pro team. Tomlinson, whose been working his way up the broadcasting ladder, is now a regular on the Canucks TV crew. Tommy played 4 years at BU, scratched around the minors for a while, and ended up getting about 100 games in the big time. Incredibly skilled offensive player but small, which really mattered in those days(late 80's early 90's)

With all due acknowledgement of the fact you could say the same about Tuesday’s bruins, the Canuck stars were mostly inert hunks of rock moving around space thanks only to momentum and the lack of friction.

Yeah he played alright, he was a -2, Miller -2, Boeser -2, better yet Pettersson -4 and trade darling Lindholm -4, beautiful!

Good to see 27 play with an edge...even better watching CC Cola turning into a force at center

Good to see 27 play with an edge...even better watching CC Cola turning into a force at center Coyle on a ten game scoring streak. Wow.

Good to see 27 play with an edge...even better watching CC Cola turning into a force at center 29-43-72. That's the stat line Coyle will have if he continues at this pace for 82 games. He has one 20+ goal season before: 21, so this would be an 8 goal jump. He has a career best assist total of 38, so a jump of 5. His career best point total is 56, so a 16 point leap, or about a 30% improvement on his career best.

Side note here - Apparently Sirotte was interviewing Freddy recently and Freddy was saying he really needed the AllStar break because he was pretty banged up. Said "yeah, and things are going well in terms of getting points recently - I felt terrible in X game and I still got a point. I had no energy, didn't do anything good at all, but I took one shot that then Coyle buried on the rebound and I got an assist even though I played awful...
"Is this what it's like to be David Pastrnak?"
