This guy is the right fit for the Scabs, no doubt. Did he forget to put his dentures in before smiling for the camera?

www.thehockeynews.com/blog/canadiens-reportedly-gauging-the-market-for-p-k-subban/"today: the Montreal Canadiens have reportedly checked to see what the return would be if they were to trade P.K. Subban. And before you look, no, it isn’t April 1. TVA Sports’ Louis Jean reported Friday that “one executive” has said Subban’s name came up in the trade market. Jean continued to say that while that doesn’t mean Montreal would trade their star defenseman, the Canadiens are reportedly “gauging the market” if they were to deal Subban." Well shiite just got good!

Thanks for the piece on Les Canadien Seobrien, the quote below was taken out of context the author but priceless in understanding certain players like Subban. Oddly enough I thought of Claude and his usage of CMiller and Morrow when reading. I know it is not the same but the blueprint Claude uses to determine who plays often does not apply to all players. Hamilton will be another more than likely. Here's what Bobby Orr famously said about Erik Karlsson: He'll get caught. I got caught. The players understand how he plays. They accept it. He's fast enough to get back a lot of times. You have kids coming along where (the coach says) shoot the puck up the glass and shoot it in. The coach is letting (Karlsson) do it and since they've allowed him to do it, this kid has been unbelievable. But, let him do it. That's how he is most effective. Is he gonna make mistakes? Yup. Is he gonna get caught? Yup. But the pluses are going to outweigh the minuses.

The problem with PK is his teammates hate him and he makes 9 million. You wouldn't want him in Boston despite his talents because he'd be a locker room cancer; and his no-trade kicks in July 1.
Everyone's bashing Therien over his public bashing of PK, but he knows what he's doing. It's his last hope. The team has fallen apart and his last chance for uniting them is to target the prima dona dickhead that the rest of the guys can't stand. It's too late, but worth a try as the team sinks.

I think your giving Therrien too much credit, I don't think there was any strategy involved when he called him out. Only thing that did was seal his fate, if it wasn't already. Only reason he hasn't been canned is because Bergevin would be going back on statements he made public. Not a lot of thought being used up there before they speak.
Can't see him being traded,it would have to get real bad but if he were to it would never be to the B's..That said, I'd take him in a second.
Chiarelli might come calling and offering a package involving Nugent-Hopkins. That could be interesting.

TB-Pens this afternoon. Pressure on B's if TB wins. The pressure is on the B's for the next 22 games, we'll see if they can handle it. The only way there isn't pressure is if the Devils, Hurricanes, and Flyers start falling off. As long as the B's get in, thats the main thing.

The writer thinks a Subban trade should net a, "Karlsson or McDavid type talent" in return. Did Subban's agent write the article?

No wonder he wasn't named to the preliminary Team Canada roster, too many of these adventurous blunders over his career. Poster boy for high risk/ small reward type player, not Babcock's type for sure. He could get named later as the 7th or 8th D man.

"I've always been told that people can criticize you as a person and criticize your character. The one thing that's very difficult to do when you perform is criticize your play. For me, my numbers speak for themselves. If anybody wants to criticize my play on the ice, well, I tell them to look at the numbers. Look at the production over the last six years. Find me a handful of defensemen that have done what I've done in the league (NHL)." said Subban.
"I play for the crest on the front of my jersey, but if people want to be critical, they don't need to say anything; just look at the numbers. They'll shut them up pretty quickly."

I am not a stats guy ,just wondering if anyone can give a statistical breakdown of what would have to happen for the Canadians to make the playoffs? If the Bruins make it and the Habs are out ,it has been a successful season before they even drop the puck in game 1 of the first Bruins playoff game in my book .
