That's good to hear, especially with the claims that Hakstol going to the Flyers would pull him away. The Bruins now have the best goalie from the NCAA under contract. Your move, Malcomb.

Then the poor guy will have to buy 2 jerseys. I'm thinking he still hasn't bought the first one yet. Soderberg.......Cross........how many people would be able to say that those two jerseys are in their collection ? Proof. Look at the screen and you can see this thread. ![](http://oi59.tinypic.com/2jfkuqc.jpg)

What in the heck is that green thing on the right ? I don't know, could it be some sort of spaceship from Star Trek, i notice BadHab has a couple Enterprise flight deck personnel there as well, at least thats what i guess they are.

It can't be a Yeoman Johnson cause he gets killed like within 5 minutes of being beamed down to some crazy planet.
Can't waste an action figure on someone who doesn't know to operate a phaser.

(sigh). You guys are brutal.
No Tic Tacs. No Star Trek. No Providence Bruins car.
OK, so I keep crap on my desk. Not all are visible.
The green thing on the far right is a tie wrap for all the cables. The other green thing is a Star Bug 2 from Red Dwarf. I am a Red Dwarf fan - it's an English science fiction comedy. That's the personnel, Arnold Rimmer and Dave Lister. Dave Lister is the last human being alive in a Godless empty universe. Hilarious. Red Dwarf space ship. Service robot from Red Dwarf. The cyclists are Laurent Fignon and Sean Kelly. The toy cars are: a Nissan Tundra (close enough to my Nissan Frontier) a #11 Ferrari - my company provides software for Ferrari A Tag Heuer car (fan of Tag Heuer, wish I could afford their good watches, I got the 'bargain' ones). #11 pace car, #11 is one of my favorite numbers 2 tag heuer stickers. 2 sauna rocks. 2 crystals I found in the yard. A toy car I found on our last vacation. Yes, nail clippers. A puck I made in ceramics class in the 7th grade. David Krecji leggo toy. A little Stanley Cup. A super ball with a smiley face. nail clippers, super glue neosporin. Adapters for the old style head phones. 2 small containers for the memory card for the camera. A small plastic horse that comes on a beer I once had. A Tackla zipper pull, 2 pcs of velcro for the highway transponder thing. A 2 gig memory stick. On the left side is a coffee cup of used wooden stirrers that I use for kindling for the wood stove.
things I don't know where to put, but might come in useful some day: the stirrer from a martini (sharp) a diagonal piece of silicone a rechargeable battery a fishing swivel
I think I got it all.

Bruins sign Al Iafrate's son Max. He caught my eye as a junior. Not drafted which puzzled me considering some of the other players who did get drafted. Good skater with size, a little snarly with a good shot........imo the signing is worth a try to see if he pans out as a pro. frozenfutures.com/2015/06/23/boston-bruins-sign-max-iafrate/

Having a bit of a Martha moment, are we? Who the fuck cares what BadHab has on his computer desk (though, yes, I now feel like I know too much...about Red Dwarf and about BadHab).
A very long time ago now, when I was still teaching literature, I had a student who wrote a paper about the Beckett play Krapp's Last Tape for a first year course. Not the brightest bulb. Now, all you really need to know for this story is that it's about an old man coming to the end of his life and looking back. Beckett was well aware of "Krapp". So there's a running bit about a banana that he keeps in his desk because, you know, old man and Krapp and regularity....
The student's essay spent two paragraphs on the importance of the banana. Specifically how keeping a banana in your desk is a sign that you need a woman around to manage you because bananas don't belong in office desks. They belong in the kitchen, or maybe in a fruit bowl with some other fruit like an apple and a pear. This is what is known as having a "woman's touch."
It went on like that, about where you're supposed to keep fruit. It was deeeeeeeep.

Who knows maybe he 'll take the same path as Johnny Islander to the NHL, stranger things have happened, a long shot at best but why not, he will play the year in Providence , will have to monitor his progress.

I can't figure out whether I've been insulted or not. Or this just went over my head. So I like toys, are you saying I'm the only one?

That's awesome. I have a banana sitting next to my keyboard most mornings too, until I eat it. I'm pretty sure it's there because I get hungry by mid-morning, and if I have something healthy sitting there I'll be less likely to go get a bag of chips. But I suppose it could be a deeply-layered sign of resenting my mother, or latent transgenderism, or the burning hatred of monkeys, or something. You should have asked him who Godot really is, while you were at it.

I would much rather roll the dice on someone like this rather than continue with the known no hoper Tommy Cross. If you watch Providence at all, you'll see why he's second on the team in penalties, once he loses his guy one way or the other, he trips him or holds him or whatever. I'd rather see all those penalties for fighting rather than covering up for mistakes.

It went over your head. Chowda mocking your desktop toys reminded me of the student who was obsessed with banana etiquette.

Soderberg ? sheeeesh BadH I lost a bet with either Chowda or Dez, one of those. Also a Cross jersey is on the line if he ever plays in the NHL.

Cross is going to play at least one game in Boston this season. He's a 5 - 6 defensemen in Providence and just clinging onto that, how is he going to make it to Boston?
