Revving his engine a bit before he lowers the boom on Clod...Thanks for bringing a Cup to Boston CJ.
Maybe he'll sign Valabik. He was always a favorite over on the Loser Board.

Doesn't sound like that will happen, hang. I read a quote from him on the Bruins' sit which read "I also acknowledged to Claude during whole process that I think tremendously of him as a coach and as a person, so I think it's just about lining up philosophical approaches that I believe in, that he believes in and that we can move the group forward." Those don't sound like the words of someone who's about to fire someone else. No doubt Julien will be on the hook should the Bruins stagger in their start next season.

You could be right RHO, but I say he will strike while the irons hot. Charlie said at the beginning of yesterday's presser that "It's a new era for the Boston Bruins." When pressed for more detail, I forget exactly what he said other than he was impressed listening to DS for the last 25 minutes. Is that what Charlie classifies as a new era?? Can't see how CJ is part of the "new era" especially since Neely has been publicly critical of him. I think Neely's plan from the day he fired PC was to hire DS, and they were both in agreement that DS's first order of business would be to can the coach. Neely didn't do it himself because he didn't want to look like a control freak. Plus, DS said in the presser something like "Yeah, Claude is the coach of the team today, for sure." I'll be surprised if CJ makes it to June 1. Just my opinion.

Fender bender due to posting while driving. Ironically, it could've been avoided had he braked instead of typing,"WTF".

Some day we'll all look back and think how Sweeney's first move changed the direction of this franchise....

boston.cbslocal.com/2015/05/22/former-kemppainen-teammate-spang-says-bruins-are-getting-a-well-rounded-centerman/BOSTON (CBS) — Joonas Kemppainen, who signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Bruins on Thursday, made an explosive first impression on defenseman Dan Spang in 2014. Spang, a Winchester native and former Boston University star, was playing for SaiPa Lappeenranta in the Finnish Elite League when he and his teammates were matched up with Oulun Kärpät in the playoffs. "In addition to being a pro player, Spang is a Bruins fan. And he’s convinced his former Kärpät teammate will be a great addition to Boston’s lineup. “He’s a really good player and I think one of the things that’s so valuable about him is that he’s not a young guy,” Spang said about the 27-year-old. “He’s a player that kind of found his game and has definitely gotten better and better every year. He seemed to find his game at a right time. He’s a guy that can come and play in the Bruins organization that is a very fine-tuned player, where it’s not like you’re bringing in a young guy that’s all offense. He’s a guy that he’s a very responsible. He doesn’t make mistakes out there. You don’t have to worry about him defensively or anything like that. He’s not sacrificing any defense to play offense. He was probably our best defensive forward all year and he was also one of our top-two best offensive forwards. So I think that’s really big for any guy who’s trying to get into the NHL. “You don’t have to worry about him on the defensive end. He’s a good centerman, he’s always in the right position. He’s a good faceoff guy, he blocks shots and I think the Bruins are getting a really good player.”

Maybe the B's will revisit a trade with the Blues that was rumoured at points last season leading up to the deadline. The Blues have to shake things up a bit and the B's could likely use what they have to offer. Backes,Oshie,Shattenkirk,Berglund,Steen, are just a few who could be available and while i know some have big cap hits,as long as the B's make some room it could work and of course the Blues would want good player/players back or prospects, are there any on this list that would interest the B's? Tarasenko is due a big raise so getting one or two of these guys could be possible. Its not change for change sake but a move to improve the B's and also give the Blues a different look. Hitch might like Kelly ,Hah!

So it is looking like Sweeney has decided to keep Julien.
Now just need to see what DS will do with personnel.
