*Note the citing of the source is Tony Massarotti. Even if true, Stanley would be more reliable.

I just read about some of the stuff said on they're radio show and its complete rubbish. Somebody must like them.

I just saw him as the source of the source in the article. People must listen to it though. I can't imagine how bad anyone's day must be after listening to the Mazzs, CallaKlans, and Ordways of the world. I think the last time I read Mazz was some article in the Heraldo on the Bruins years ago where he was bashing Chara.

Since Sweeney said he's happy with the goaltending. I think this means he's going to allow Subban to at least have a legit shot to backup Rask. I doubt he'll waste the money that is needed elsewhere to bring someone else in.

One things for sure,as the GM of the P-Bruins he would have seen a lot of Smith and Subban and would have a pretty good idea if one of them is up to the task as a backup. I don't think Subban can be measured on one start in St louis,as he was likely nervous and it didn't go well.I hope they give him a real chance if he has a good training camp.

Well this is as close as to the exact quote I can give. "We're happy with our goaltending. We have a great goaltender!" So, he's certainly talking about Tuukka there. I think though that they don't want to be put into a position where Tuukka plays 70 games again. I'm thinking 55-60 is where they'd like him to be. Rask is the goalie they're going to use, so I don't think Subban's development is a factor anymore. They'll use him as Rask' backup & give him 20-25 games.

As much as I can't stand some of the knobs in the Boston Sports media I had already heard that Julien was more than likely coming back. Mazz was also the reason I didn't start a new thread. Sweeney meeting with Julien about his assistants was another reason Julien staying was probably imminent.

I could still see Subban staying in Prov for another year so he can start 40+ games.

Smith would be adequate if that's who they decide on. Lots of backups around if they don't feel he's capable

I mean there's talk that Hamilton is one of the front runners to be offered an offer sheet this year. As per story.http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/775172. The way things went down I wouldn't be a bit surprised if PC didn't offer a ridiculous amount to Hamilton's camp. Nobody outside of the B's organization knows more than Peter & where that team sits, what they can & can't afford. The Oilers need a stud on D & Hamilton is arguably the best option out there that isn't signed. So, they need every dime to get him signed along with still trying to find a legit #1 rw. And after Svedberg not being able to be trusted as a backup which forced the B's to play Rask more than they wanted I think they'll bring up the better option in Subban. Wasn't he the starting goalie for the baby B's for most of the play-offs except 3 games? I think with the re-signing of McIntyre is that he's now the new prospect over Subban. Subban will now end up like a Cam Talbot & wait for his chance to shine, or prove he can be a capable backup at least.

I just think that at his age, Subban would be better off being a starter for one more year in the AHL.

I just read about some of the stuff said on they're radio show and its complete rubbish. Somebody must like them. I don't read either. I just searched Boston Bruins News looking for maybe some more predictions for whom the Bruins might take in the draft. And the Comcast New England link was at the top. I'd rather those two nutjobs never get anything right. I mean it took 71 guesses before they finally got Terry Francona leaving the Red Sox correct.
