Maybe but you know the Flyers always like to make a big splash. There's also a job open in Winnipeg but i don't know if Trotz is ready to head home to Manitoba just yet. Alot will depend on who wants to pay the bill but for sure he will be in demand. It's such a weird situation that I'm kind of waiting for another shoe to drop. Trotz did really well there and I don't think there was any indication that this was coming. I don't want to cast aspersions, but it reminds me a little of the Avs dismissing Joel Quenneville unexpectedly (and oddly, in my opinion), when we later learned that he had an aggressive DUI stop in Denver mid-afternoon one day. I really wonder if there is more to the story with Trotz. Everything seems odd about this. The decision, the timing, etc. Could be more to it or it could be that in the end of year meetings the players such as Barzal, Beauvillier, et al complained about the boring defensive style they had to play. Lou though seems to favor a strict defensive style dating back to his Devils days. Who knows but it will be interesting to see who Lou hires.

As mentioned on NHL radio. Boomer Gordon says Pete Debor seems to wear out his welcome every where he goes.
Kraken coach is now the 21st most tenered coach. 10 coaches canned since Hakstol was named head coach of an expansion team.
Think I heard today over the last 27 months 21 or 22 coaches have gotten the ax. Gotta double check that.

Maybe Hextall will fire Sullivan and hire his buddy Hakstol if he's let go.

I counted 17 just with a quick look at the coaches in 2019-2020, and remembering a couple who were short timers.

It is, and now you add Bowness. And I could see Sutter going back to the ranch, too. Here's what it looks like: Toronto - Babcock (Keefe) Florida - Quenneville (Brunette) Montreal - Julien-Ducharme (StLouis) Buffalo - Krueger (Granato) Detroit - Blashill Dallas - Montgomery-Bowness Winnipeg - Maurice (Lowry) Nashville - Laviolette (Hynes) Minnesota - Boudreau (Evason) Chicago - Colliton (King) Washington - Rierden (Laviolette) Philthy - Vigneault Columbus - Tortorella (Larsen) Islanders - Trotz Rangers - Quinn (Gallant) NJ - Hynes-Nasreddine/int (Ruff) Vegas - Gallant, DeBoer Edmonton - Tippet (Woodcroft) Calgary - Peters-Ward (Sutter) Vancouver - Green (Boudreau) Arizona - Tocchet (Tourigny) SJ - DeBoer (Boughner) 27 total coaches fired or left since the beginning of 2019-2020. DeBoer's been fired twice in that span. One's an interim guy who didn't keep the job. 21 teams have changed. 6 more than once. Of the teams still in the hunt this year, Colorado, Carolina and Tampa Bay all have the same coach as they did three years ago. Edmonton is still living on new coach smell from Woodcroft. Gallant is a guy who always seems to go far in year one.

Add Cassidy to the list. Changing coaches has been a proven method of change, so has changing the GM. Sweeney may be next, a year from now. He just took a dump in the crapper only to find no toilet paper to clean up the mess.

Nice Dreger laughs at the Winnipeg media for basically saying there's a good chance Trotz lands there. Cause of course he prefers the CPE.

Who's going to be next, KFC Bruce? I would say Sullivan is on the hot seat as well but he just signed a new contract i think.

Pitt off to a bad start and then blowing two goal 3rd period leads in 48 hours would normally spell doom for a coach.
Their goaltending sucks, but I cant recall seeing so many odd man rushes against a team.

I know it's only been a year but Larsen in Columbus has to be feeling the heat, right? 10 games in and ZERO Power Play goals? Someone needs to be shot out of their cannon.

Yeah, forgot about Larsen, Jarmo can't be too happy sfter signing Laine to a contract extension and getting Gaudreau. I think Jarmo wasn't expecting the BJ's to win the division but he was likely expecting pushing for a playoff spot, not looking good.

Is "Cryin" Craig Berube's ass getting warm, hmmmm, maybe but that Cup likely will give him some more time.

Doesn't mean he won't be a fall guy. John Henry chopped a very popular Terry Francona.

They're stuck with Psycho BLB in goal, because Suitcase 2.0 Greiss has never been able to carry the load for more than a few games. And O'Reilly, Kyrou and Krug are a combined -38...

Yep and i read somewhere that he had a yelling session on ice at practice the day before their last game which ended in another loss to the Isles. BLB seems to be a bit off, had a little run in with an Isles player leaving the ice after a period was over, this has happened more than once.....someone should knock his block off.

St.Louis just lost their eight straight game, this time with Suitcase 2.0 Greiss in goal. (Not that starting Psycho Beer League Binnington on two straight nights would have made any difference.) Kyrou, O'Reilly, Krug, Parayko & Schenn are a beautiful combined -60 eleven games into the season. But don't worry, Coach Berube has already figured out what's wrong: "We're not playing well enough to win games." (Ah, yes, that kind of makes sense now, doesn't it?) At least Greiss can translate the word "Schadenfreude" for Berube...
