All kidding aside, we all know DS will be re-signing Grizz.
The history and ties are there and both Donnie and Monty talk about him being a key cog in the regular season success of the team.
So, what will he get?
His base salary for 2023/24 is $4.2m and AAV $3,687,500.
I see a 3 year deal with an AAV of $4m.
What do you think will happen?

Law of diminishing returns hopefully considered. Only recognized by the fans not management. Cap increase coupled with inflation since the last contract. Everybody loves him from management down. He is 30 years of age, downward turn on play.... I had a hard time writing that one.
4m for 3 years....
I just hope DS waits until after Free Agency.

I seriously think Monty's boy Mitchell is being tested as a possible cheap replacement for Grizz

Happy belated Birthday Gryz!!! Anyway, knowing what a team guy Matt is he will take a team friendly deal, 3 or 4 yrs at a little over $4 mil a year.

I believe, based on my own whim mainly but somewhat augmented by what I view as the “culture” of the team, that Gryz and Bs management have a gentlemen’s agreement to let him play out this year in Boston (ie, he won’t be part of a trade) and then let him go wherever he lands next year. Gryz is done here, replaced by a cheaper, improving, and in some respects already better, Lohrei.

I don't think Grzelcyk gets re-signed. That money needs to go to a center.

Grzelcyks time in Boston is coming to close. Is this a hope or wish or fact based? Cap reality, Lohrei/Shattenkirk being better than expected and the need for a Pk Dman like Forbort. All those are very important plus Neely always wants roster turnover. That was his big battle with Chiarelli. Grzelcyk doesnt fit anymore.

I have no problem with him sitting with popcorn in the balcony...let him earn his money there the rest of his B's career...never was 4 million better spent than that.

405 Games, 127 Pts, +123, 18:05 ATOI.
Must be doing something right.
Can you replace that, and at what cost? Does the replacement live and breathe Bruin Hockey?
Look, I'm not saying he's great, but what are the other options?
