The void left by Bergy and DK's retirement is vast. Coyle Zacha 114 points this year. Bergy Krejci 114 points last year. Lol, you're saying those two career middle 6ers are hall of fame'rs? How's the PP going?

Trip: It's the way the 'Canes will win this game...
Yep, it is a statement game and our boys were silent, done in by a gimmicky goal, lackadaisical efforts and untimely poor goaltending. They checked out of the game after the third goal. Boo birds out and rightly so.
And who the feck runs the PP because it is embarrassing to watch most nights.

I'll take those odds and any team in the league would prefer home ice advantage throughout each series... I’m with you. Just highlighting the wacky thought process.

I wonder how they beat this same team a week ago without those 2 guys 4-1 I don't. Playoff hockey exposes a teams weaknesses. I thought that last game was a playoff style game ... wasn't their night tonight . If it's one thing I learned from watching this team this year.... they are 100 % Jeckyl and Hyde . One night they can look like world beaters , and the next night , can resemble an AHL team . I'm not expecting to see any duck boats this year .. not one Bruin fan would have expected the year they are currently having .. it looks like a 1st round match up against Tampa . They're going to have their hands full against them . I'd love to see them knock off Tampa.. but I don't see that happening....I hope I'm wrong . Boston will have to get lights out goaltending to have a chance

We had a number of games during this stretch where there were a number of stars. Tonight — hard to find any real standouts.
Regroup and put this one in the rear view mirror.
Monty licking chops — 3 full days to beat the boys up.

All I care about is the Bruins health, hoping Maroon, plus Brazeau, can be ready for the playoffs and the regular season ending. One thing is for sure, no drama about the starting goaltender for the playoffs.

Never know once the playoffs slide in. Either way — we will all be behind them and enjoy the glory or feel the pain.

But that situations down the middle is concerning to say the least. If they can't get the PP solved, TBL is gonna have a decided advantage in the series.

Wondering if Torts just resigns before end of season. Flyers L10 1-6-3. Scabs pour in 9 goals tonight.

Pretending that Edwards isn't a carwreck at PBP...pretending Roadhouse is one of the 3 Stars of the B's season...not 73? Roadhouse has been putrid since the All-Star Game...maybe one good game...that's awful...he was awful and he set the tone with his shitty play...Tired of pretending he's so great when Ullmark has looked like a guy on a roll, but not allowed to play 2 straight games. Lindholm on the PP is a complete waste of energy...another terrible coaching job thinking he will help offensively..he is a disaster on the PP-not confident, always passing it seems and refuses to shoot.

It's kind of ironic last year Curly stayed with Linus in the playoffs even when he was hurt and played Sway when it was too late. This year he'll probably platoon Ullmark and Sway when really Ullmark should play every game unless he really stinks.

*Bruins got outplayed badly after the first period. Two consecutive powerplay chances and the Michigan kind of swung the pendulum in period 2... Might have been a different game if Geekie finishes his first period deke.
*Pasta and March were invisible tonight. Monte benched these guys for the last few power plays. You are in trouble when most of all your quality chances are in 40 minutes come off the stick of Frederick. Your best offensive players were all no-shows tonight. It happens.
*Swayman bit it tonight. He did not seem ready on a couple of those chances...almost letting Nachos score in period 1 from bad angle and the wraparound.
*I do worry how the Bruins respond when Pasta and March are shutdown and targeted. Can the others pick up the slack when it really matters?
*No issues with the D tonight. They had to work hard against a relentless forecheck and really limited Carolina in the first period. I pin this one on Bruin forwards and Sway.
*Carolina is really good...might be better than the Rangers. Happy to split with these guys this past week.

I think this is the first time I've seen the Bruins succumb to the Michigan...is this the first? Anyway, I have decided that I hate it and should be banned. No carrying the puck allowed. Besides, I totally blame Peeke for the lazy ass attempt to clear the puck just prior, that ended up being a beautiful pass to the point D. Carrying the puck is not being considered. Lacrosse is running the game of hockey with the "Michigan". I guess the stick is not part of the player according to the official. Sandog is correct, no injuries. I think Peeke and Weatherreport combo should be examined. They had problems advancing the puck, even considering the rest of the team as lackluster.

One who has size & speed, 2 big boys who can be around that net & tough to move without taking a penalty against them.

27,73...25,52 (48)...29,12. You can dismiss 12 and some have included Monty, but he would help that putrid PP if he were named on top PP and he has great chemistry with Pasta. The B's do need to look at special teams here and Shatt helps that aspect. Sure the overall defense is better right now but the offense has to be able to click and there is simply too much pressure on 73 to do everything. Rather he and 27 just be minutes eaters on 5 on 5. Put Shatt back in lineup. He doesn't have to play 15 minutes either. Neither does a 3rd pairing in the playoffs. You can double up big minutes with 3 guys--Carlo, McAvoy and Lindholm.
