Bolts are looking resilient. Back from two down. Lose in OT. If they don't take the next two home games it could be an early exit for the Bolts, Bob seems in the zone.

Yeah, but it's not like they're not in these games, and the cliche of the day seems to be you haven't lost anything until you've lost on home ice. Hold serve. Hope Bob doesn't get lucky like he did on Dumba there (I mean, all credit for the desperation move, but it's luck that Dumba happened to shoot it dead centre of the net).

Yep, that save was just a reactionary move and the puck happened to hit him. I hurt my lower back just watching it on TV, ouch!

No sure why players shoot the puck mid-height in the net when the goalie is completely turned around like that...any puck along the ice would score - no desperate stick or leg available, just arms/glove.

I think this save by Timmy was better.

But he saved it with his arm, not his stick or leg. That's what I meant - from the goal scorer's POV, he should have just shot along the ice because it was impossible for Bob to get his stick or leg over to block it.

I think either Yzerman or Fedorov was the first player I remember deliberately sliding it in rather than aim for centre mass on an open net. Goalie was CuJo when he was with the Blues, and the colour guy was raving about ice water in his veins to take the extra fraction of a second and recognize that was the right play because Joseph made those dive back plays regularly. For some reason, that stuck with me and you noticed it was always a guy like Oates, Gilmour, Modano, Nieuwendyk, Sundin, Naslund, Kariya who found a way to calmly deposit the puck when the cage yawned.

Skinner getting skinned again….
Oilers would do better going with six attackers all game….

BJs Bob is back and still owns Tampa. That is an insane save. He still had to have some presense of mind to turn his head around and place his glove in the area of where he thought the shot was going to go.

Reminded me a bit of a save Tuukka made on Buffalo in the playoffs. Just turn, dive n see what happens. Desperation paddle saves are some of my favorites.

The Kings tie up their series with the Oil on a beauty snipe by Kopitar in OT. The Oilers regardless of how this series turns out aren't winning the Cup with Skinner in net. It was a beauty shot in OT but a couple gls before that were very soft, he might be a Cup calibre goaltender one day but not right now.

I imagine a lacerated spleen is pretty painful and recovery time varies but i'm sure he likely could have returned before the regular season ended, oh well it is what it is.

As much as i want the Bolts to win i'm afraid they're over matched against the Panthers. The Bolts have had 4 PP's and the Panthers none and they're still trailing 3-2, you never know though but Florida looks strong.

I have nothing against the Panthers. They did what they had to do last year, and the B's screwed up.
And I hate the Tampons.

Freddy thinks he's Bob like now. He has played really well, especially Game #1, Isles had many great chances but Freddie said nope.
