The mighty Scabs once again grunted and sweated and scraped and managed to squeak out 1 gl again! Exciting for sniper Paul Byron! Unfortunately the Great Gretzagher was once again held off the board, not to mention superstars Moaner Max and Slick Slewbban. No word if Slewbban had any salty post game remarks!

It's also nice to see one of the pre season SC favorites, according to the usual Scab bag sniffing suspects, 2 pts out of 9 th place in the playoff standings. This is worrisome to any concerned fan who might be wondering what's wrong! I'm not concerned, it's simple, they stink.

Worst thread ever?
It's not looking good. They'll make the playoffs, provided Price comes back within a month, but this is a wasted year of a 2-3 season window to come out of the East and challenge for the Cup.
We all (Habs fans) have said "all bets are off if Price gets hurt," but it still stings to see the team circling the crapper.
Still, they've improved since Gallagher got back and it's only Game 44. The team they have out there tonight isn't the team they'll go into the playoffs with.

Here's your fawkin thread henry. Keep it all here. Hey, I never bring up the Habs! With the exception of the Around the League thread, which might as well be named "Club Du Hockey Canadien."

Unfortunately they were playing the Hawks , a team who knows how to roll with the punches and hang in there ( we used to be like that ) .

Huh, they might be men after all! John Scott, old time hockey! The Montreal goon squad! He'll help with their putrid offence for sure.

Is the Scab rebuild officially on? Henry? No, they wouldn't just start trading first liners, second liners, and top-4 defensemen and blame the cap to the fans. Wait, what team am I thinking of?

Side note, I don't understand a lot of the shit bowers gets on this board. Of course he'll get some, and rightfully so because he's a habs fan on a bruins board, but he hasn't gone out of his way to antagonize posters, and adds some good stuff to general hockey discussion. Often I find myself enjoying perspectives on bruins issues from non bruins fan. Alright, done pumping your tires for today

I will defend Henry, his team is not doing well. He defended then capitulated to realize the team was not doing well. I did not believe the WC game, a juxtaposed exhibition of a team going down and another team in a slump. The Canadiens are like many teams in the NHL, Cap restricted and dependent on "what have you done lately" syndrome. In reality the Canadien fan base is delusional, Henry is not. Lighten up on the criticism of his postings. That said, I hate Canadien fans in general. I love the city and Canada otherwise.

Down, down, down , sinking, falling, drifting away. Alas, oh woe is me. Down, down, down. Unrest in the dressing room. Down, sliding, down, down, they go.

I hate to admit it, but after losing 16/20, I'm starting to lose interest in the games; the post game callers on TSN690 are the only form of Habs related entertainment. It's going to be interesting to see what comes out, and which players go after this season. Their issues are beyond Price. With Price, they win 7 of twenty, which is what Buffalo averaged last year. Still a lot of hockey left to play.

It would be less fun if Montreal was still leading in the standings.
