Don’t know if it’s bad for baseball but certainly is for the chance of baseball returning to Montreal…. Don’t know what the Boojays were thinking considering their revenue is in Canadian bucks…. Glad Ohtani used them til the very end….

Glad Ohtani used them til the very end…. Yeah, me thinks Ohtani had no interest in going to TO, why would he leave LA? He drove the dollars up and TO was willing to help. My prediction: he will have a couple or more of good years, maybe pitch again for a while, but eventually have more problems with his right arm (he would not confirm that he just had Tommy John surgery).
$700 mill is absolutely obscene. As I just read, $68 mill per season is deferred until 2034 to 2043. I know why I don't like the Dodgers, even if they paved the way for black players with the signing of Jackie Robinson.

I can tell you right now that Cole may last for a few more seasons until he finally has big-time surgery on his right elbow/arm and may miss a year or more, and then his fastball will only hit 93 or 94, if that. But he will still collect more than $30 mill per season. Same with Judge, who already missed a big chunk of last season. These guys are all in their thirties, and big dudes like Judge are usually more prone to injuries. Four more years at his current level, maybe, and then he can sit in the clubhouse with Stanton (another way-overpaid super-fragile behemoth) - I don't know how much longer Stanton's current contract runs (and anyone who signs him after that has to have his head examined). Eventually we will see ads on their once pristine jerseys, because the owners were too obtuse to stop the avalanche of bs big contracts and need to make money any way they can.

So now the Dodgers traded for SP Glasnow and have just landed the zillion dollar starting pitcher Yamamoto from Japan, too…OMG.
The Tankees in their wildest days never spent what the Dodgers have.
It sounds envious, I guess it is, but it’s borderline obscene. And from a team that can’t beat anyone in the playoffs. (Except in a fake COVID CUP)

Mets wild spending for years has won them NOTHING. The Astros took years to build there great teams recently. Four WS titles for the Sox since 2004...I can be patient. And I'm very happy with the farm system.
Having recently lived in So Cal, for a long time, the Yodgers have been a very well run franchise. That rubs off and players find out about it. But it doesn't guarantee WS titles.

But don't worry, Dave Roberts will screw up again. And as long as the completely inept moron Cashman is running the Yankees into the ground with his bizarre ideas, you won't have to fear them either.

Sox have just one player out of 44 players connected to the 2018 WS winner...yeah, don't want any connection (Devers left, Sale traded) to the 2018 World Champions...don't want that...got it. Go Breslow! God, the Sox suck bad...Giolito? Jesus, pathetic.

The Ohtani interpreter excuse is almost insulting.
This, Wander Franco banging 14 year olds and Papi just put out another hit on one of the people who shot him.
MLB has some issues.

Ohtani's gambling issues makes me think maybe he should "retire" and do a reverse Michael Jordan by playing in the NBA's Summer League. If I recall MJ had horrible gambling problems-connections that David Stern knew was not good for him or the league. So voila he started playing minor league baseball (for Francona) and hit badly in Double A. By the way, how much money do you think that interpreter is raking in for taking the fall for Shohei..say it ain't so Shohei? Shohei (Show me)...the money? Also heard he is in a sham marriage which was supposed to also deflect his gambling problems.
