Seen in Naples, FL, on Tuesday. Proudly wearing his "Nike Brokeback Mountain" pants while getting himself a treat (ice cream)...

They're reversible. You should see the inside.

An amazing thing about Florida is that I could 100% wear that and no one would bat an eye.
I don't think my girlfriend would be so thrilled, but, especially over there in Naples/Fort Myers? Status quo!

Status quo! The proof is in what the person standing next to him is wearing. Top half of a Grimace costume over a skirt made from a head shop bead curtain?

I know from one of our threads that NAS likes my least favorite car brand, Mercedes. Now having been to his current hunting grounds for the second time, I asked myself the question what all those alte kakers down there need big limousines and penis extenders like "Dümmler Bonz" automobiles for? Why? Have you ever waited at a red light turning green behind one of them? "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi...65 Mississippi... HELLO! Are you still alive in the vehicle in front of my car? Or is it a very specific kind of 'Green' you're waiting for?" Folks, I have traveled a bit in my day, and I have seen some really bad drivers (beware of the Belgians!), and the geezers around Tampa are right there in the running with the worst of them. IMHO they would be faster if they simply abandoned their way-too-big for them to handle vehicles and walked...

In one day I witnessed more incredibly stupid driving (if you can call it that... More like car kamazazees) than I've seen in my whole life in the northeast. Apparently it's legal to issue drivers licenses to brain dead vegetables down there. Pure unadulterated blatant stupidity. I'm not shocked the family tree branches grow back into each other.

Been to Alabama too on my current trip, well, I second some of your thoughts. We really had to be on our toes in traffic. Huntsville (Space & Rockets Center) was nice though. The real low point was Nashville, Tennessee. Maybe we got there on a bad day (both my wife and me suffering from nasty colds - no Covid, though), but to me it was just a gigantic tourist trap. The bands in the bars sounded okay - and that's the problem. They were covering songs mainly, and they played like on Autopilot. I kind of expected more. Not a lot of options for vegetarians either - "yes, we do have a grilled cheese sandwich on our menu, but it comes with bacon..."

Not a lot of options for vegetarians either - "yes, we do have a grilled cheese sandwich on our menu, but it comes with bacon..."I saw some great music at a couple of venues away from the strip in Nashville. Not always country. Had a great time there. Caught a Jets-Preds game, a Steelers-Titans game, went down to Third Man Records, hit Carter Used and Vintage guitars and bought a 60s Fender, old style cigar bar just off the strip that was perfect. Huge lunch counter place next door to Carter - I can see why there are a lot of biiiiiig folks in Nashville. Also went out to a couple of places out by the University that were pretty sweet. I didn't notice the lack of vegetarian options because...it's Nashville. I wasn't looking. The best was after the Titans game, we went to a bar and I order a bourbon. The guy looks at my like I've got three heads. He asks me how I want it, and I say "In a glass." Never seen a bartender that confused, and couldn't believe a bartender in Nashville thought that was odd. So we went to another bar. This time I order a bourbon and the guy pulls out a highball glass, pours out the rest of the bottle which in a lot of places they would have passed as a shot. He says 'sorry! just a sec...!' and goes into the storage room. Comes back with a new bottle. Fills the highball glass like he's pouring Coke. $6. I didn't get another drink for the rest of the night. And we drove nowhere so I didn't get to despise the drivers. Friend of mine did his graduate studies at the U of Georgia. Driving down the first time, they had an issue with his car. He gets towed to a garage. And there's the mechanic and some Boomhauer clone. Clearly not loving the Yankee in their midst. Mechanic's asking him all these questions about what he's doing there, then the Boomhauer says something unintelligible that the mechanic translates as "Yankees should go back north before someone sends 'em there in a bag." It was an uncomfortable couple of hours before he drove out of there.

Fucking people run red lights here all the time. The lights are long. You can wait at a red light for up to three minutes, so people are not interested in hanging around so they gun it. I see the light turn green, count to 2, look left and right and then go. It's dangerous. And it's not just old people. At one point, there was a "drivers license ring" taking money to give people the right to drive.
BELLE GLADE, Fla. — Two people, one of them an employee with the Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s satellite office in Belle Glade, are facing third-degree felony charges for alleged driver’s license fraud.
Florida Highway Patrol arrested Tiffany Clark and Peniel Dalmacy and charged them with several felony charges for fraud and forgery.
Investigators were tipped off six months ago that Clark was giving out driver’s licenses to applicants who had not fulfilled all requirements.
Over the course of six months, investigators said they identified 29 records that were questionable. Of those customers, 19 were born outside of the United States, 14 of them are from Haiti.
Investigators poured over videos and conducted surveillance and concluded that Clark wasn’t working alone.
According to the report, Peniel Dalmacy served as the middleman, introducing Clark to new applications.
In some instances the applicants wouldn’t even drive during their test. Surveillance video showed Dalmacy would drive and the applicant would be in the backseat.

WOW! SMH. Unfortunately most people don't understand that cars can be weapons...
Okay, BMW - the "thirsty Bavarians", as we liked to call them in high school. My stepfather once owned a 518 with a 520 machine in it, but he didn't have a driver's license (DUI - my family story really is soap opera stuff), so I got to drive it most of the time (he would take it for an illegal spin now and then). It was okay, but a bit too cumbersome for my liking. And it was a gas guzzler, and gas prices were always horrendous in Europe (I think a gallon of regular is about §10 in Germany today). Maybe that's why I still don't like "the leading German car brands". Most Merc drivers I encountered during my younger days proved every cliche there is about them - selfish, rude, "yes, I do own the road!" attitude. I hated it when I had to circle the block because some incompetent idiots with Mercs, Beamers or Audis occupied two spots with one of their "penis enlargers"...

It's worse in places that are not designed for you to drive everywhere like so many cities in NA.

It's worse in places that are not designed for you to drive everywhere like so many cities in NA. You know, everybody (who probably hasn't experienced it) praises public transportation in Central Europe. But German Railways, for instance, have profited from the punctuality myth for decades. It has been a long time since their trains ran anywhere near on time (at least 30 years), and their service has sucked for much longer than that (I know first-hand, I used to work for those creeps, as did quite a few members of my family). Commuting to high school was a daily adventure (no school buses in Germany, except for members of the American Forces community). The best method of getting around was riding your bike - as long as none of the morons in their high-priced Mercs, etc. crossed your path. One older woman (definitely not a nice lady) in a huge Benz tried to cut me off on a sunny day, it was impossible not to see me in my all-red outfit, unless you're José Feliciano. At the last possible moment I started yelling, and that's when the old dragon finally stopped, rolled down her window and gave me a piece of her mind: "What's wrong with you? Don't you know that cyclists never have the right of way?" (which is of course complete bs, even in Germany...)
