When it's time for the draft, the bottom line is you have 9, and you have to fill everything else, so who really gives a fuck what positions you have to fill based on what you have...so if you have 3 good centers and 2 good goalies, again who gives a shit. But I said too much. "so who really gives a fuck what positions you have to fill based on what you have" Every team owner needs to care. I mean Vag cares what you have. Haven't you been reading ?

All I'm saying is 9 keepers, you do what's best for yourself, I think ultimately after a goalie (or 2), that's the extent of worrying about what to protect. But again everyone can do what they feel they must do.

I sort of do the same.. Obviously it's tougher to get the real point studs, and then I see how they filled up my positions... Hopefully they were not just all centers, but that's where it seems to be easiest to get your big point guys. Wings a bit tougher and then D is the toughest.. Which is why I value foxy and makar... Great to be about to put up some real points from D slots, plus those are the most slots. Goalies are almost a whole different game... Could get a massive season or could be a dud. And ya, you fucked it up. PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE! but at least you recognized it... That's step one. Goalie scoring is huge in my eyes. 9 goalies had over 300 points last year. #10 had 263, which is over 100 points less than 1, 2, or 3. Short of McDavid - led scoring by 130+ last year - that's a big drop from the top tier to the second tier. I'm also drawn to the fact that a goalie has a 5 point night as soon as he starts, and gets 7 or 8 for a 2-3 goals against win. That's a pretty good night most nights for the top goalies. Definitely, goalies can be tricky but are definitely very valuable. Look at where Linus was drafted? Who expected him to be a beast? I just flat-out dropped ottenger, OC picks him up and he's a top goalie. Markstrom went from beast to bust. Georgie goes from back up to putting up more points than Igor.... It's just crazy and who knows what can happen. It's almost a separate game in itself. I've found the points system to be pretty decent. The standard get points for saves always seemed dumb to me because goalies don't control how many shots they see.and ultimately would be punished for a good offense or good defense when they see less shots. Plus they should be a bit higher per game because they play less games. The top goalie was like 15th or so in scoring, so they are not overpowered. Plus there are so few in comparison to the rest of the roster... They should be big point guys to really matter, otherwise who cares, just grab a starter it they are all kinda average and it's a tenth of a point for a save... Boooriiiing (that's how you do it Danny), been in league with that system and it sucked... Good goalies didn't matter,, just pick the one on a shitty defensive team. This system is all about wins, low goals against and shutouts.

This system is all about wins, low goals against and shutouts. And starts. Lots of starts on a decent team and you get the top scoring goalie while better goalies on weaker teams who are sharing the load produce less. I don't think that's a problem with the scoring, to be clear. I think it's part of what makes an advatage in goal important. I thought i had some good options for guys whi might do what the Oetter and Linus did last year. Demko had a lot of similarities to Oettinger but Vancouver was suddenly so terrible defensively and he tanked. Campbell looked like he would get a ton of starts behind a high scoring Oilers team, and he was worse even than I might have feared. Maybe the smartest move Dumbas ever made as Laff GM was letting someone else pay that dink $5M. I'd have weeks where I got next to 0 out of my goalies. I stayed with them because I knew i wasn't going to contend and i though there was a better chance of at least Demko coming around. Same reason I was hanging in to young skaters like Boldy or Raymond. Neve happened. Watch, Demko will win the Vaz for thr Vag. We'll have to rename it the Vag-ina trophy.

Don't blame Boldy, the guy had 30+ goals in his first full season. I'm not a Demko fan, I dealt him for a draft pick.

One thing is for sure I traded Nugent-Hopkins and Thompson so that just means I'm not very bright, which means my take/advice can be taken with a grain of Veruca Salt.

I can say that while there isn’t a cash prize per se, since I’ve been champion i haven’t paid cover or waited in line at even the most trendy night clubs, I was invited by spend a weekend golfing with Sidney Crosby in Cape Breton, and strippers now pay ME to give me a lap dance. The world is just different when you’re a winner.

The world is just different when you’re a winner. It gets old, eventually. That's why I gave up being all-powerful to settle down with my wife Brenda until the depletion of the ozone layer gave her cancer and she died, so I had to save the world with an electromagnetic shield that the evil Shield corporation later stole and used to blackmail the world. I'll probably have to go back to being all-powerful to stop them sometime in 2024. ...wait...sorry...that's the plot to Highlander II.

Major Props to the Badger for wheeling, dealing and really setting up his team. Model for all Fantasy Players (sizz, he paid me thru Venmo, except he offered me Crypto instead of cash and I took it...basthid!)

The number 1 goalie available for the draft, from last years stats, is Kuemper then Skinner. Unless there is some insane rookie goalies coming up...better have some good starters already on your roster.
