Best one-timer---Pasta Pasta can be incredibly infuriating to watch. One thing I noticed about him recently is his stance on the puck. There are times when he appears too upright or almost leaning back. This is especially on the powerplay. He does not bare down on the puck when there is less pressure on him and it makes him look awfully nonchalant. It's simple body positioning that takes a little work. Perhaps he is resting? Add this to his high risk, high reward mindset and an incredible shot and you have a guy with boat loads of turnovers and great plays. If he could only "bare down" on the puck more consistently, then it would eliminate the "fighting puck" turnovers they refer to. I can live with his "fancy dan" turnovers due to the talent level and overall output. Ovechkin and Pasta...1-timer monsters.

I don't know if Alex Faust is a good play by play guy or not, but I was pretty overwhelmed by coherent sentences and proper enunciation. Well, this was the first Ive heard new guy work. Ive heard pluses and minuses about him here. And I disregard the seething hate some people have for Jack, thats not informative. That’s like reading about Gryyyzz over and over. So, the new guy is clearly super professional, sharp and capable. He’s obviously better than poor sick Jack. Its a quality product. I admit I find him a little generic. I dont believe he GAF about the Bruins. I wonder if he stays if Brick is then gone along with Jack. Brick seems a little detached from him, and there zero feel of either the Jack or Brick hometown interest in the B’s. The one time he corrected Brick I kinda felt bad for Brick. I suppose time goes on, and the guy is good. I just wish I felt that intangible connection to the team from him. Agree about Faust, he's professional and capable as you say but he's missing that Bruins hometown zeal and love, it's just not there. Jack has that in spades and was not manufactured, his love for the team is real and it came through loud and clear in his broadcasts. And being honest, in his prime Edwards was the best imo, called a fantastic game and being a Bruins fan i couldn't care less if he was a homer, loved it, loved it even more because it drove the other fan bases absolutely nuts, beautiful. Anyway all the best to Jack Edwards however it all turns out.

Faust's overtime call was outstanding...I thought he was better than that other game he called...and finally let's talk about a few things. 1. Best Power Forward-Neely 2. Greatest of All-Time-Orr 3. Best Dirty Area Scorer of All-Time-Espo 4. Best 200 Foot Player--Bergeron 5. but I don't know of a better wrist shot in B's history than Brad Captain Marchand...what a tremendous shooter he is... Sway makes the big OT save that we've been waiting for to save a game and turn it the other direction. Go B's! Might have to agree. Cant thiunk of. B with a more deadly, overpowering wrist shot than BM. Have to say… reffing sucked, blah blah, but I have no faith in this team to hold a lead late. Its just true. And Sway… love the guy, had some huge saves but irrespective of Razor making excuses for him in the post game, that tying goal had a bit of odor to it. And his Save of the Game was a recovery on another short side weird one that looked fumbled. I would have given the SOTG to the one that set up the winner in OT. Also on board with your views on Jeremy. I love the guy as well and hope he's a long time Bruin but the book on him seems to be shoot high. As you've said before for him being 6' 2" and 200 lbs he looks small in net at times, especially when he plays too deep in his net. I am no goalie expert but have watched alot of hockey and only base it on what i see so i will defer to the goaltenders here. While Tarastinko has a fine wrister he beat Sway clean with nobody screening him, didn't like it. Yes, these late game gls against are troublesome, have to get that worked out.

Pick your poison...Ullmark seems to at times out of position, sometimes reverts to that sprawling helplessly on his back on some plays near net...yet I feel like when he's on, he's just spectacular and covers net and stops a number of tips and deflections...Sway is positionly fantastic, and has a style that he is always in position...he does look small at times, and other teams he seems like he is staying "tall" on his knees (a la Rask) and that allows him to move laterally easily and use his pads--great pad saves from him often--which Ullmark also is great at. But it's disturbing that he does give up too many late goals overall. With that said, Ullmark has been blah overall--definitely not as good as his Vezina run last year--kind of expected a bit to dip, but wish he was better....and here we are talking about 2 goalies who are frankly so much better than the rest of the league save for a few. Finally, 9 regulation losses, only 3 by Sway ALL SEASON..INCREDIBLE

The last thing to complain about is the goaltending. The late goals are too frequent for a good team, (reminds me of the ‘13 bunch) and when it’s an iffy goal it’s even more annoying. But outside of hardly anyone, not many goalies Id rather have in today’s league. It is going to be interesting how long they can keep them together with impending contracts and serious needs at other positions. Is it the best tandem the team has ever had?

Well, Cheevers/Johnson, Moog/Lemelin, Thomas/Rask ? I don't know but i would say that Ullmark/Swayman has to do some damgae in the playoffs to move the needle to the best ever. Their regular seasons are of course exemplary but playoffs is where a player really makes their mark.
