Finally a nice 3rd.
Congrats to Pasta on the hat (and bearskin) but Linus gets my vote for #1 ⭐️

Man oh Man, gotta hope that Brazeau turns out to be a Tim Kerr / Phil Esposito type Center. Big ass, just holds the front of the net and bangs 'em home. Don't see many big men like that anymore. Gotta pay the price though.
Good win. Nice to see 88 get the hattie.

Understandable that Van Winkle’s tired having played 1000 games…. Think JVR will make the cut for the playoffs lineup. Actually like this wake up call. I think they are at a point in the season where they can give guys a night or 2 off to rest rather than sitting them for lack of performance. Especially when Maroon is healthy there will be a good NHL forward that has to sit out each night. It's a good problem to have. Regardless of whether or not people think the Bruins have no true #1 center, they are very deep at forward overall. It's a very balanced lineup with some quality players ready to sub in at a moment's notice. I like what Sweeney has done this year

Ully keeps this up & he DEFINITELY will be a Bruins next season too! Super stuff Linus! Yap, yap, yap that was said in absolutes. But Ullmarka did look good...against the crappy Sens. Monty must be losing it watching his D at times.

A little worried about Marchy. Does he need a little rest to lick some wounds or just playing possum.
16:07 TOI. 1 SOG. No hits thrown and a few taken.

Missed it. Work. But just watching the goals and reading here, sounds like you saw what Ottawa is all about right now. Lots of talented offensive players but no commitment to playing a complete game and a lot of entitlement from those young guys especially around penalty calls and the like. They're on the Oiler plan - their players think talent is enough.
Watched all the goals. Not your conventional hattie for Pastrnak. Great tip on that first one. Great but maybe lucky backhand. Typical play by "TimmyStu" - selfish and thoughtless and mostly because he was about to take a hit - leads to the breakaway. Gotta like the nature of those Brazeau goals. Both were pure downlow poise. Size, good hands...but notice that he is never so much as challenged on either play. Sooooooft D. I mean, PK but how does a guy getbthat much time and space? Nice attack by Boqvist on his goal and great pass by Beecher.
On the goals against, I can't say much about the PP goal, but the second goal was an awful backcheck by the forwards. Carlo gets turned around flailing at the passes, but at on point Boqvist and Lindholm have the same guy, leaving all that space behind them and Heinen comes back to the outside of Tkachuk where he can't do anything. Dumb.

And you do that, you probably give him more attention from your skating coach.

Ullmark played like Vezina...he certainly looks more poised than Roadhouse right now..maybe hold that 7 mil for 6 year offer in the pocket until you really need to sign him...ball is in B's court, not Sway or his agent. Now it's Roadhouse turn to actually make some big saves and look like he is a #1. This is healthy competition at this point, but 35 has been outstanding of late.

I think his skating is what must have held him back from making it sooner. It hasn't stopped him from being effective in the role he's in now, 4th liner and PP guy, good for him as the B's can use it.

Wow Brazeau really impressive. He’s a keeper. Improving every game. Beautiful goal that I was not expecting from our 4th line call up from Providence. This does go back to what I was saying last week though --- Brazeau was a top line player and point producer in Providence. Nice to bring up someone with upside for a change. Just think, Lauko had 0-0-0 for like 30 games to start the season. Brazeau, 3-1-4 in 13. I like that pace for a 4th liner much better. Kid seems to have a good feel for where to be around the net and the skill to put it away when he gets his chances.

Looked like he hurt a knee/ankle at one point on a seemingly harmless check attempt in the corner. His back leg kind of swung around and hit the wall and he was clearly feeling some pain. If we need to, now is the time to rest him for a week. Bring up Lysell, rest Marchy for a week. Get him back on his game in time for playoffs.

Next day thoughts: - Bruins weren't as bad as some were saying in the first 2
- Ottawa had some shifts where they skated around the outside a bit, but they weren't lighting up Leenus... and when they did, he was outstanding
- Having said that, first goal was a leaker, Ullmark shoulda had that one
- Brazeau made a nice tip then picked up his own rebound on PPG #1; silky smooth on #2... honestly, I get that Ottawa can't defend for shit but it might be worth looking at the big guy on PP1
- B's should play Ottawa more... seemed like they lost 2 faceoffs all night, that hasn't been true much this season
- Sens take on the personality of their Captain, and he's a douchebag. Brady spent virtually the entire game looking for post-play cheap shots and chirping over nothingburgers. It was satisfying to see him shown the gate late in the game... but also, the team emulates that BS and they end up flopping and whining the whole time rather than trying to be good at hockey.
- Knew Pasta was in for a good game when on the first shift he shot up the ice and laid a hit on a Sens D behind the net, with some force... he was all over the ice and solid in his own end as well
- Something is wrong with Zacha, and maybe this is where he has always failed to live up to his billing/draft status: there are just a number of plays where he just doesn't seem to read the play at all; he can do some nifty things at times, but he is also prone to zigging when the right read is a zag, and it's noticeable when you're in the building.
- 4th line wasn't always great last night, but they did some nice things in the offensive zone... Beecher pass to Boqvist for the nice finish was an outstanding play all around
- JDB, Marchand and Coyle didn't affect the scoreline much but played a smart, solid game, mostly against Ottawa's top line, as I recall
- Giroud line got lit up, they sucked, dived and whined all night long
- Shittencrack and Grizzleddick had their best games in a long time; Peeke was... fine... not sure he adds any more than Lohrei or Wotherspoon but good to have options heading into the post-season
- Watching McAvoy live is fun... he does so many little things right that you don't see on the TV... stick position, reading the play, subtle movements with or without the puck... he good

Good catch on the faceoffs. They hit an unheard of 67%. I had a false sense as I continued to see the lost faceoffs on the PK in the D-Zone. Just hope Sway can turn in the same performance plus more help from the D tomorrow night. Rags lost to the Jets but were pretty relentless in the offensive zone. Nothing I hate more than losing to them and/or the Scabs.
