Rearranging the PP musical chairs deck again...again.

Lindholm on #2 PP is flat out idiocy. Wotherspoon sitting for Peeke bothers me, sitting 12 bothers me because his offense is needesd as well as his chemistry with 88. So pratice lines or guesses aside, and I hold my judgment til we see who sits---this is coaching. If they really think 27 should be on any offensive situation the way he has been putrid in that area--then this is coaching.

Admins practice stopped by Monty. The entire lot has been derelict and he even quipped that "Our Admins just aren't playoff ready."

Rearranging the PP musical chairs deck again...again. So Van Winkle’s going to be at the end of the bench until he’s needed for PP2 duty? And takes up room along with Brazeer in front of the net while the other three do all the work…. don’t expect high success rate from this unit….

Rearranging the PP musical chairs deck again...again. Beecher needs to get a longer look on the wing in the top nine…. Could be a wild card come playoffs….

Looking by those prax lines JVR will be eating popcorn from up high and "Widows" Peeke and Wothrreport will be the 3rd pairing. I think that's a good 3rd pairing because you know there will be quite a few scrums, face washes and crosschecks from behind.

Rearranging the PP musical chairs deck again...again. The left side is weak with Heinen and Lauko. I have suspicion JVR has a nagging injury that essentially will end his career. Too bad for when he was on the LW 2nd line, he balanced the rest of the lineup.

Shattenkirk 22 points, 5 goals, 17 assists...3 assists game just 2 appearances ago...can't crack the lineup on a team where the defensive d is comprised of regulars like: McAvoy (0 points, last 10 games) Carlo (1 goal, last 23 games, 0 last 7) Lindholm (5 assists last 14 games, 0 last 3) Gryz (2 assists last 24 games, 1 last 9) This is collectively embarrassing

But he isn't driving the net. JVR was actually taking the puck, below the dots, then heading to the net. He's not in position to tip shots from the point. I'd still like to see JVR in the playoffs though. He doesn't seem the type to sulk.

Interesting matchup tonight. No predictions. Just go out — play your best — keep heads on a swivel — and stay healthy.

C’mon Monty — drop in and take a peek… To me, I'm going to sacrifice whatever he feels Shat's d shortcomings and utilize him in short minutes on the regular pair, but primarily also letting have #1 PP status. This guy just has more offensive capabilities than the others, including gulp I'll say it...McAvoy who despite probably having his best offensive season is still strangely just not very good and certainly no Torey Krug in terms of running the PP from the point. 12 shoots to the net with purpose, finds open guys and is also willing to drop low to take a shot in close if need be. Again, not saying hey play Shat 20 minutes...not at all..they have guys who can play a lot more overall 5 on 5 minutes like 27 and 73 and 25. Think outside the box on this--it's about adding offense.

Easy enough to have him take draws but pass the full suite of C responsibilities to someone else while he takes on the wing. That keeps him and his FO prowess in the mix for the PK.

No blind drop passes to no one in the offensive zone in a tie or 1-goal game...and I'm not just talking about "Heino"

Conor Ryan, Boston Globe...does this guy watch games? What the fuck is he talking about? "Even with a lackluster showing from him during Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Flyers, Ullmark has provided stronger returns over the last month — with the reigning Vezina Trophy winner 3-1-1 over his last five games with a .938 save percentage."

My thoughts on Forbort after his return from his first long stay on the sidelines. He just wasn't as decisive and assertive as he was previously.

Won’t mind it one bit if he’s wearing three-piece suits once playoffs begin….

Let's see how the club responds to Montgomery's comment yesterday about them not being ready for the playoffs after ripping them a new one in practice. Having the Panthers away might be a good place to start getting into the playoff mentality of initiating contact, grinding a team down while addressing the coach's concerns. Florida will be ready to go.
