I'm still thawing out for a very cold, and frustrating, night in Denver last night. I was not a popular guy in the upper deck last night.
Of all the Bruin injuries last year, I don't think they were even close to what the Pats are going through.
Figures that I was in attendance for the first Patriots loss in about a year.

That would be rather difficult to handle. I watched the whole game, I am not impressed with Denver at all. Paper Tigers. I am pleased the Pats lost during the season. I am hoping the team will be healthy for the playoffs. Gronk is a huge loss, but the team is competitive.

Yeah, I'm in no position to rain on the parade here, since the locals are desperately wanting to dish it out to less-than-gracious Pats fans right now. But the reality is that they beat a badly wounded team (down to the practice squad at several key positions), in overtime, at home, with a wildly improbably run of breaks and penalty calls going their way down the stretch. Not to take anything away from them, but maybe some perspective. I like Osweiler, doing his Brady-in-for-Bledsoe impersonation. We'll see if it lasts. There was a fair amount of cheering/taunting in the upper deck while Gronk was being carted off. It makes winning that much more fun when you're around that though (and losing even less fun). Sounds like Gronk will be back, along with Amendola, soon. Maybe Edelman for the playoffs, and things start to get back in order.

I heard Gronk had a strained knee. If I were the Pats I would not be afraid to go back to Denver with all but Lewis back in the picture. Hightower's injury would have thwarted the touchdown at the end btw. I have taken heckling in Montreal after a Bs loss. It is the nature of things, but man o man I love to see them cry like the Seattle fans last Super Bowl. Ha. The schedule the rest of the way is not tough, another loss or two would be ok.

Pretty embarrassing officiating job last night for sure. But I don't really blame the loss on the refs. If Amendola was healthy, he doesn't fumble the punt and the games over. Not sure why Brady threw so many long balls though, not really his game especially when he's got the B receivers out there. And I like Rotweiler, he made some perfect throws and he's got game, the league needs guys like that. A rematch would be great with both teams healthy. Glad we're not gonna have a perfect season, too much pressure not to lose come playoff time.

Fear the Panthers! And I don't mean the ones with Shawn Thornton in the lineup.

Look at all that had to happen for the Patriots to get their first loss in how many games?
No Edelman,Lewis,Amendola,Gronk gets hurt, O-line is all banged up playing out of position and had to play the refs as well.
I don't complain about refs, never have, but last night was an absolute joke.
Still had to go to overtime to beat them.
Heart of Champions those Pats.

Heart of Champions those Pats. So you're complaining about the refs. Now you know what it's like when the Scabs always get the last PP when playing at the Bell Centre, it's rigged.

I will add, the reffing in general this yr in the NFL has been subpar. I liked the answer one ref gave in response to a blown call in a Bills game a couple weeks ago, he said he forgot he was doing an NFL game and thought he was still doing college. When you can't remember what league you're doing, you're unprepared . That's a big problem.

I take that back, I have complained about that before, but I dont believe refs/umpires decide as many games as people think they do. Too much it sounds like crying over spilled milk. Last night, I thought they screwed that Pats, that said, if Harper doesnt fumble that punt, the refs dont have a chance become a factor. At the end of the day, I still think if you play better you win...Last night might be the closest I've seen it not. All day on the radio today conspiracy theories were being talked about. I dont buy that for a second, I dont think the commish ordered the refs to screw the Pats, but I do believe the quality of officiating has gone downhill and I've said that watching games I have no rooting interesting.. Back to your Bell Centre comment...I would love to see a stat showing how many PP chances they have gotten over the last 20-30 years at home tied or down a goal in the last 5 minutes...OatesCam, you have a web site for this stuff???

Looks like the Vikings will be looking for a new place kicker next year. What a choke job. Hope no one here is a Viking fan! Seahawks got their redemption
And the ending of the Pitt-Cincy game last night was a disgrace. These guys make Marchy look like an Eagle Scout.
Oh, and I honestly felt bad for Hoyer yesterday. What a total embarrasment for a pro QB.

Totally predictable for the Vikes to blow it. 9-0 lead in the 4 th quarter, game in control, a broken play, Petersen fumble and a botched Walsh field goal later and that's the life of a Viking fan. Somewhere in Australia Red is crying.

The same Bengals players have played dirty all year and they acted like they were shocked by the officiating. PacMan Jones claimed that Brown was embellishing the head shot he took near the end of the game. The hit was dirty as hell.

Yep, Jones claimed he shouldn't have gotten the flag, he said he was just arguing with Joey Porter, a Pitt coach who was on the field and shouldn't have been. It was a dirty hit alright from Burfict but the Steelers were no saints.

Some unnamed Bengals seemed to be blaming the coach by saying he's let those guys do that shit all year so why would they stop.

The Bengals had the lead and the ball in the last minute, and then fumbled the ball and took undisciplined penalties to blow the game. They only have themselves to blame, and the coach can take responsibility because he's in charge of them remaining disciplined in pressure situations. The players in question on the Bengals ultimately let their team down.

Bengals-Steelers game is a perfect example if how thuggery the NFL is getting. Too much trash talking, dancing/celebrating. Two coaches both lost control of their players. NFL is going down hill, if it wasn't for fantasy football it would be on the decline. Getting harder and harder to watch. I have no idea how retired players from the past watch these games/circuses without throwing up in their mouths.

Even Steelers linebacker coach, Joey Porter, looked like he was in the mix, stirring up shit on the field after the shot Antonio Brown took from Vontaze Burfict.

I agree with you and it adds to another reason why I like college football much, much more. Only reason I can watch the NFL, outside my favorite team, is because of fantasy. PS. Did Porter get called for going on the field like that ?
