Has anyone ever watched the show Joe Pera Talks With You? It was an old Adult Swim short that is on HBO/Max. Episodes are only 11/12 minutes.
It's pretty endearing. A rare show that has some innocence and some laughs to it. An easy watch.

Climax Blue- I love you. Been hooked on this type of music lately. I think I’ve turned into my dad. Sandals and high black socks are next.

I finally got around to The Good Place. Ted Danson is genius.

Check out Sound of Freedom with Jim Caviezel. Great flick based on a true story.

I finally got around to The Good Place. Ted Danson is genius. And that's how you end up owning an underground pub.

Doc "telemarketers" on HBO is hilarious, crazy and shows how much scammers can get away with in America.

We watched the first two seasons of Yellowjackets. On balance, it's a recommend but with a bunch of caveats. There's some great dialogue and some good cast - Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey and Elijah Wood are all good in it. Story tries to balance a version of Alive! with a high school girls soccer team instead of an Argentine rugby team - grim - with a fair bit of dark humour, but there's also a bit too much of a high school drama to it for me to be thoroughly happy with it.
There's also this issue of everything having an ensemble cast these days, which inevitably means that there are a bunch of weaker characters who just aren't that compelling who have to get their screen time. For awhile there, it was the Netflix formula for things like the Haunting of Hill House where you have a framing episode, then 7 episodes where a different character is the focal point, then one episode that brings us back to where we ended the first episode, and a conclusion. Ugly formula. This isn't that bad but it's bad enough to weaken the whole. Could have been a lot better if they focussed on fewer leads and kept the story of some characters more focussed on one or two areas of interest.

The adults far more attractive characters in terms of what they bring to the show...the flash backs all in tune with them, but yeah I agree on the too much time spent a bit with the young high school angst girls and establishing that smaller characters must be dealt with more detail than they should. Spoiler Alert: Will the show survive without a really great actress now not really part of the story. Lewis, Lansky and Ricci are simply talented actresses...all are funny, dark and hot.

Lucky Hank is the one of the best shows I've ever seen about just college faculty in general. But Bob Odenkirk is better here than Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad and he was brilliant in both. Odenkirk is incredibly funny and yet is an amazing dramatic actor in his own right. Crazy when I first saw him in The Ben Stiller skit show (great ensemble--Janeane Garafalo and Andy Dick), immediately stood out as hysterically funny. Of course Mr. Show, but he grew into his own with Better Call Saul and Lucky Hank, he just brings a new level of greatness to his resume. Do yourself a favor and watch the episode from Better Call Saul when he is doing a pitch for a job at a copier company....I think it's one of the greatest speech dialogue for one scene I've ever seen on screen--Emmy Award winner on that show alone--rivals Alec Baldwin's scene in Glen Garry Glen Ross

Capote vs the Swans on FX is pretty damn good. Tom Holland gives Phillip Seymour Hoffman a run for his money. Great cast with Cherry Valance as well.
