I haven't seen that one yet. It's on the list! I'm a big fan of most of Tarantino's work and I was pleasantly surprised by Once Upon A Time. I think you will like it. Huh. I have also given up on him after the Bills mostly. (I think of them as Tarantino's Use Your Illusion). I didn't mind Inglourius as dar as it goes but have steered clear of Django, Hateful and most everything else. But i have had others say they didn't mind Hollywood so we'll give it a shot.

The wife and I have been trying to watch this in the evening(s) after work - always falling asleep (no fault of Hitch, Tippi or the best ever 007).
Maybe we'll make it through the whole movie this afternoon. Sean Connery at the peak of his powers, and Tippi Hedren as sexy as they come. And a good story. I'm repeating myself: They don't make 'em like that anymore.

You could actually Walz the main character. DiCaprios character is really really good. Don Johnson makes a great appearance. And Kerry Washington is her hot ass self. Tarantino had to yell at Foxx during filming to stop being Jamie Foxx and it worked. Foxx was good. Try giving it a shot.

And we did it! Add "Batman's butler Alfred" Alan Napier as Connery's father and a quite young Bruce Dern in a small role as "the villain". Underrated actor ("Silent Running" is one of my favorite SF movies).

It's too much.

I agree, it did make me feel uncomfortable at first but when i took it as that's the way things were back then, the time frame, location etc i found it made it real, a stark slap in the face of how things were. It didn't ruin the movie for me either.

Monty Python continually used the N word in Holy Grail...*ni! ni! ni!* ![](https://media.tenor.com/78GCmJczBGsAAAAC/blazing-saddles-jack-starrett.gif) Literally, the most anti-racism film made in the last 50 years. Screenplay co-written by an African-American, starring an African-American who not only poked fun at racism but then made a running joke of how stupid white people were. Couldn't be made today only because no one smart enough to figure out the movie was slamming racists, mocking white leadership, etc. Oh well.

Have it taped...worth watching? And I said: I liked it. Then again I just like westerns. But Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are surprisingly good, to me. And you can’t go wrong with Sam Elliott. I watched it originally on Paramount + and now watching it again on the Paramount network. Watch the 'Man with no name' trilogy followed by Blazing Saddles, should cover everything these newer western themed shows possibly could.

Don't have to have watched Hughes films in the 80s to appreciate him. What a director and even better script writer.
