19-6 in shots. smfh Need 2 Centers. Like real Centers. I have no problem with Coyle. It's soft squishy Zacha that I would like to return to NJ.Coyle's not consistent enough generating points to be a 1 or 2. Love him as a 3rd, but $5.5 is too much for that.

Is there any D-man in the league that doesn't know that Pasta is going to use that stupid move thru the legs as this point.

Ullmark #1 star tonight even if they lose.

I think we can finally say that the Bruins are now looking like a team that has two AHLers and a raw rookie on their D, and missing their top 2 centers from a year ago.

I just watched a couple games lately against a pretty good Wild team (against the Bruins anyway) and noticed that there are a bunch of guys on that team that some of the experts on this forum felt were not considered good enough to have roster spots on the Bruins: - Maroon - Bogosian - Goligoski - Fleury
Each one of those guys displayed skills tonight that would fit nicely on today's Bruins team...

"Right now, they're not playing a Bruins style of hockey." This team was advertised as bigger and more physical.
They started running around like drunk chicken in their own end again in the second period, just like against the Jets. No defensive structure, easy to push off the puck and easy to pin down in their own zone.
And nobody ever really close to Fleury to provide much of a screen.
I had a bad feeling when Marchand got called for trying to be sneaky with Kaprisov right before the first intermission. Of course I don't know if Marchand's move, obviously motivated by a blatant non-call earlier, caused the game to completely change its structure. But as good as the B's first period was, the second was even worse than the disastrous showing in Winnipeg last night.
Heinen, Lohrei and Mitchell each +1.

I never doubted that MAF would look good between the pipes for the B's. And I would trade suckers like Heinen or JDB straight up for Maroon yesterday.

Long holiday weekend ahead. Between the 4 game losing streak and Rags pulling one out in OT tonight — crossing way too many paths with moronic NY fans.
If I’m not posting next Wednesday — just assume I’m in jail…

Faust best line "DeBrusk sends it in...haven't called his name much tonight." Well, last time the whiney little puke said he wanted out of Boston, he got 8 mil and a spot on the first line to inflate his stats and value... Which would have actually been smart if Dipshit Don actually traded his punk ass when he may have had value... But just like how he screwed the pooch with Orlov, Bert and Hath, he screwed the pooch with Jakey Poo and now we are stuck with a shit player with shit value. Strong work Dipshit Don.

Team is fucked due to the center position. They are playing wildly erratic mostly due to guys having to try to step up and mixing up combinations.
Geekie has been their most consistent forward but is better as a Jam guy on lines 3 or 4. Coyle is a high end 3rd line center that gave the Bruins a huge advantage when Poitras and Zacha were pivots 1 and 2.
Poitras had the most creativity and vision (and could draw penalties) but is now gone. I do get this move as Bruins are trying to win the long game but his absence is being felt.
The trickle down effect has another soft guy playing high in the lineup in Heinen. He is serviceable but a far cry from the grit the Bruins opened the season with. I'd rather have him as a press box option as he will be shit when the going gets tough.
Zacha would be better as a number 2 center but is forced to play #1 role this year.
The thing I don't understand is why Jake was not moved for a center. I guess losing Hall forced their hand to keep him as a speedy option but you always need to prioritize centers over wingers. It looks worse now since his value has plummeted.

It looks worse now since his value has plummeted. If Jakey had term left on his contract maybe Donnie could’ve swayed some team for a top-six centre, ie Lindholm…. But since Jakey’s a UFA, getting in return a quality center would’ve probably required the B’S including a pick or good prospect in the deal…. Two things the B’S don’t have a luxury of….
