For a player who is as limited as you claim with your assessment of JVR, he's galactically effective, wouldn't you agree? But anyway, "no hustle, no D, not physical", that sounds more like the book on our old friend Loui MercenEriksson. In regards to JVR, please tell me what broadcasts of the games you were watching. Adding on here.. How is he galacticlly effective? Seems like some crazy high praise, so what am I missing? He doesn't hit, doesn't block shots and has 2 even strength goal. He sits in front of the net on the PP got 5 goals and 11 assist. 9 assists even strength. Seems a pretty far cry from what Bert did in the playoffs. Jvr cracked 20 goals once in the past 5 years, oddly enough the same year he was a dask 33! Not exactly a complete player even in his prime. And he's not getting better. He's a warm body for 1M that can put up some points on a PP. Oh, and he's below average at the dot too. sizz...JVR is doing more at 1 million than the biggest con man of them all is doing for now another 9 million extension for 2 years in 3-time, pre-game celebrated former fake B Nick Foligno. I'd say JVR is a revelation for what he's added to B's offense/PP this season. Let me add that JVR and Shattenkirk are also adding locker-room and on-ice leadership on a team that had hoped to get some of that from the con man who was such a "great locker-room presence" that after he was benched for game 7 v. Florida, cried like David Backes, another fake leader, did when he got benched for game 7, 2019. They were such "ass" acts in calling out the B's after ward. Bunch of overpaid pieces of shit. Good old Nicky conning the Hawks for another 9 mil for 2 years while he nurses his broken hand...unbelievable.

Imagine that, he was a minus player on a team that absolutely sucked ass in their own end. Primo situations?? I remember him setting up players left and right with excellent playmaking. He was the best player on a team that choked historical and absolute sucked ass... To say, "well I bet he couldn't do it longer" is dumb... The rest of the team couldn't even do it period. Are you related to Bertuzzi, or do you need to see your optometrist? When the chips were down, Bertuzzi "sucked ass" just like most of the team (Krejci didn't).Ok, you can argue your side without the childish insults, cmon Mr. H, you are better than than that. Bert actually hustled, hit and was the only one actually playing with any desperation last year.. After I got back from my optometrist and family reunion and Bert wasn't there. He was the only bright spot in last year's collapse. You don't remembering him setting up pasta left and right?? Pasta easily could have had 10 more goals in the last month.

At least he can do his one trick we'll enough where we appreciate his value for 1M. But if the refs put there whistle away in the the playoffs, he'll be useless. I'm noticing a theme from you guys on his best attribute... He's cheap.

I think he is just a better fit on B's...and now I doubt that will ever happen, unless the B's take a flyer on him for cheaper money in the off season...it depends on I think 88/63 if they felt hey he is a good fit...which I think he is a better fit on B's.

Ya, do doubt he's sucking this year and is a straight up bad fit in Tor... And I get the type of player he was... He's easy to hate, from his style of play to his vaccine status to his face, to him not signing back w us, but what he did once he got going last year was the "revelation" to me... 200 ft player who did it all and made others around him better... And in the playoffs he had heart.

Mostly riding Danny's emotional roller coaster. Thank you, I'm usually dark on Mondays, but alas we have a game today too. B's fandom is a tough job, especially in overtime. No, thank you for letting me be part of your journey.

I guess Danny has Russian ancestors. They had to eat the vowels because there was nothing else available without having to wait in line for at least one year... my grandfather was Russian Jew...good call BTW, do you know the best "Russian Jews" anecdote ever? When the Welsh national men's soccer team once played a road game in Eastern Europe with the two strikers (forwards) Ian Rush & Mark Hughes in its lineup, they both got on the scoresheet. In those days, reporters phoned in their match reports to their papers. The excited reporter blurted into the phone “Rush and Hughes must be the best strikers in Europe!” The headline in the paper next morning read: "RUSSIAN JEWS MUST BE THE BEST STRIKERS IN EUROPE".

He seemed to for a few games in the playoffs but what you see now is more the norm, he's an overpaid dud. He didn't "seem" to... He did... And at the most important time of the year. I'll take that. That was Bert's first ever playoffs so who knows if he's a consistent playoff performer or not. When looking at Bertuzzi's career to date an over payment on a long term deal wasn't prudent and Sweeney nor any of the other 31 GM's didn't think so either, it looks like they were right. As they say, you gotta know when to hold em' and know when to fold em'.

I'm convinced Bert/Sweeney enjoy another year for sure in Boston, maybe 2 years at least but the agent took too long and DS ended up doing some smart free agent budget pickups...all worked out.

That would be worth a laugh in itself, haha!
