Where was the rest of the league when Patrick Kane was looking for a pillow contract 38 games and 38 points ago??
What a home run.

Ryan Reaves and Nicolas Deslauriers went at it earlier in the first period tonight in Philly. Reaves right eye looks like he sparred with Iron Mike Tyson. It's puffy. Almost closed. He left the box, went to the locker room and hasn't returned. Pretty sure fingers went in the eye. Yeah, looks like when Deslauriers was reaching out to grab Reaves jersey he inadvertently poked him in the eye.

I will forever be grateful for the Blues GM or owner, at the time, for being cheap. Oates is my top 5 favorite Bruins. But Holy mumma, if Hull n Oates had stayed together. The "cheap Blues GM" then was Ron Caron. I know, "de mortuis nihil nisi bene", but Caron was completely wrong in his decisions as Blues GM so many times. And when it came to "renegotiating Oates contract", which was what Oates wanted, Caron simply went with his gut instincts again, and never found another center who could play as well with Hull as #12 (not even Gretzky, but that was under Iron Mike Keenan's rule).

Stupid play. I’m guessing 6 games. My issue is Peterangelo got 1 for his. I know his past is gonna get him here. Does Gregor get him first up around the neck? Hard to tell. But stupid play from Willy.

They are in a wildcard race. That hurts the team. I’m guessing 6. Could be more.

But stupid play from Willy. Wilson was doing well staying away from Tom Foolery. There aren't alot, if any, that can do what he does. He needs to stick hitting, great forcheck and scoring. That's what got him that big payday.

The Wings have a worse record with him than before they signed him. The Caps are looking like lock to take that last wildcard and leave the Wings on the outside again.

He’s avoided this for a while. Wires crossed. Knew immediately as he went to the player to check him. Stupid. Bad timing too as they continue to try to make playoffs.

That's the second time you used that term to describe this hit. Do you mean that he is just wired incorrectly and he can't help himself? Or is it more correctly to liken him to just shorting out periodically and he has a loose wire? Just curious.

We always thought wires crossed meant that there was a mix up in communication. No matter, he definitely snapped and reacted without thinking - and that is more difficult to defend because it suggests that he couldn't help himself. Bad look all around.

Well you are partially correct. The mix up in communication is internal. Some people snap. Then realize what they did. I know when I used to get in fights I’d black out during. Wilson has one of those crazy tempers where he reacts then realizes what he did. He knew immediately.

I was listening to 32 Turds from last week, and they opined that it was like Wilson was surprised by it. Like he meant to swing his stick but was surprised it went high instead of across the shins or the stick. So less of a "wires crossed" type of snap and just like throwing a fastball you expect to go low and away and for some reasons of biomechanics and physics, you plunk a guy in the ear-hole.

I always thought those "fatheads" looked ridiculous, but this is taking it to a new level...
They even had "fatheads" in Europe of this bastard's face (while he was in prison for tax evasion in 2014)
Why not this ultimate corrupt pos?

Is...is that a 6-Million Dollar Man reference? All I can see in that in that last one is evil Oscar Goldman. That's the self-proclaimed "chancellor of German unity", Helmut Kohl. He was as corrupt as they come, an incompetent money-grubbing grossly obese piece of shit. Only after polls in East Germany showed that his party could win a majority of votes there did he jump on the bandwagon. "Chancellor of German unity", my ass! Bill Clinton once said to him "I thought of you yesterday, because I was watching sumo wrestling."
The other one is former Bayern Munich GM/president Uli Hoeness. If you people think George Steinbrenner was a bad person, you haven't heard anything about Hoeness.

Hulot, Jeff O'Neill, the guy in between Gilmour and Joseph has gained a lot of weight since his NHL days and his head alone is as bulbous as all three combined.

Here's what Lufa head coach Keefe had to say post - game after his club lost 6-3 in New Jersey on Tuesday:
On where the game went off the rails after a strong first period:
Instead of having a strong period, building on it, and continuing to do the things we did well, I thought we just overdid it. It was just really immature all the way through our game. I thought it was immature from our most experienced players and our leaders.
Our players who are immature — who are inexperienced guys — made lots of mistakes today. In the first period, Bobby McMann gives up a 2-on-1 and doesn’t do his job there. On another, Holmberg and Knies get caught on one goal. And our fourth line with Kampfer out there.
Our third and fourth lines gave up goals in the second period. Top and bottom, in the second period, it is not good enough. You are playing against a team that is among the most dangerous teams in the NHL offensively. They want to play the game like that in terms of countering and getting behind you.
Jack Hughes got two breakaways. You are not winning the game if that is going to be the case. I hated lots about our game tonight. Hopefully, the players hate it just as much or more than I do.
On whether this is viewed as a one-off:
It has happened a lot for our group over the years, and I am talking about the experienced people. That came back tonight. The game invited it, right? There are 25 shots. Everyone is feeling great. You have lots of puck touches. You think it is going to happen again if you stick with it.
I don’t know if anyone has ever gotten 75 shots in a game before, but I don’t think it happens. Usually, things adjust and the opposition pushes back. The game kind of tidies up a little bit.
I just thought we got incredibly sloppy and careless. That is disappointing.
It hasn’t been us (lately). We haven’t played that way for quite some time. I thought our guys got a little too excited and carried away. We will tighten it back up really quickly.
On what he is looking for from his leadership group in a game like this:
They have to be the example. John Tavares has been the example for us. He has been outstanding for us for a long time. He himself got carried away tonight. That is our captain. If that is going to happen, the rest of our bench is just making it up as we go. When you do that, you open up the door for the opposition to have a good night. They did that. The last goal at the end of the third period is indicative of our second and third periods.
On Joseph Woll’s performance:
You can’t let in the first shot of the game. That is two in a row now. But the chances we gave up tonight were egregious. There are lots of issues in front of him.
I give him props for not including that over used word pairing "kind of." We hear it so often in post - game interviews when players and coaches seem to try and soften their opinions on certain aspects of the just - completed game. "We were kind of hesitant on the PK." "The guys kind of took their foot of the gas after we got the lead in the third period." I'm tired of hearing it.
Tell it like it is, Keefe.
