Is...is that a 6-Million Dollar Man reference? All I can see in that in that last one is evil Oscar Goldman. That's the self-proclaimed "chancellor of German unity", Helmut Kohl. He was as corrupt as they come, an incompetent money-grubbing grossly obese piece of shit. Only after polls in East Germany showed that his party could win a majority of votes there did he jump on the bandwagon. "Chancellor of German unity", my ass! Bill Clinton once said to him "I thought of you yesterday, because I was watching sumo wrestling."
The other one is former Bayern Munich GM/president Uli Hoeness. If you people think George Steinbrenner was a bad person, you haven't heard anything about Hoeness.I think he was charged with a massive tax fraud years ago. Can't remember the amount.

Hulot, Jeff O'Neill, the guy in between Gilmour and Joseph has gained a lot of weight since his NHL days and his head alone is as bulbous as all three combined. Shit, I'm getting old. I did not recognize any of the three. Now that you've said it, I recognize Killer & CuJo. Wouldn't have minded those two on the B's.
I think CuJo should have won a cup. (And as we all know, I have absolutely zero respect for Doofinik Hašek).
O'Neill, on the other hand...Kirby Puckett syndrome?

I think he was charged with a massive tax fraud years ago. Can't remember the amount. The numbers reported in the German media varied between €18.5 mill and €30 mill. But that's only what the prosecutors eventually claimed they could prove. The real amount is most likely considerably higher. If I had to explain the terms "mean" and "detestable" to a Martian, I would use Hoeness as an example.

Ya think Torts and his crew is looking forward to 4/9 meeting with Scabs? Classy Ghule slashes Konecky while on the bench. Gets 1 game.

Joe Pavelski passed Eric Staal as the #1 scorer from the 2003 draft. Not too shabby.

Laffs taking it to the Panters. Could be a first round matchup if the Panthers don't get their game together.

Laffs taking it to the Panters. Could be a first round matchup if the Panthers don't get their game together. 4-1 Loaves at one point. Panthers come back to make it 5-4 in the third. 6-4 final for Toronto.

What a weird turtle derby al over the league. Yesterday, the Avs got spanked by the Jackets, even though Colorado probably would like to catch Dallas. Rangers lost to Pitt, though they may not care unless Carolina pulls closer. The Isles pulled within 4 of the Flyers with two in hand by beating the Flyers. The Wings pulled into a virtual tie with the Caps by beating the Bolts, and the Blues pulled within 3 of the Kings by beating the Oilers because the Kings lost to the Jets, who have been floundering.
Top team in the Metro loses to a non-playoff team. Hottest team in the second hald loses to a non-playoff team. Just a lot of good teams losing to desperate teams. No one looks like they are ready for the grind, least of all the Panthers who got shelled by the Laffs.

TO nearly caved again, Bob was pulled after 2 periods and the Pantera came back from 5-1 to make it 5-4 in the 3rd, along the way hit 2 posts in the 3rd, LeRfs hung on but were near collapse. If i'm the Panthers my one concern is what about Bob, is bad Bob creeping back at the worst possible time. The Isles might regret giving up that late gl with 10 seconds left to the Flyers, instead of gaining 2 pts on them they only get 1 pt, so even if the Isles win their games in hand they would end up tied and the Flyers would get the last spot on RW's. The closeup on Patty Roy's face after the Flyers scored with 10 secs left said it all.

The closeup on Patty Roy's face after the Flyers scored with 10 secs left said it all. Right! Islanders with the same number of OTL as the Bruins. Caps also have 3 games in hand on the Flyers, and they're just a point back. I think they're in. Philthy and the Isles probably have to turn their attention to the Wings. Isles 3 back of the Wings with one in hand, so they'll need help, and they need to get RWs - to your point about yesterday's oops. 3 RW behind the Wings is possible to make up but 5 vs. the Philth would be almost impossible - and probably irrelevant if they did since it would have to mean Philly didn't get any more RW and the Isles would need to rack up 10 points in the course of 5 RW. At that point, they blow by them in points. Funny how much more significant games in hand are now. Just because every game is an increasingly larger percentage of points remaining on the board.

Dull game between the Tampans and the Laffs. Buston doing almost nothing then they get a cheap game management call and boom.
Waiting to see highlights of the line brawl between NJ/NYR

Ten game misconducts.
Sorry. 8.
Sportsnet's Jennifer Botterill clearly bothered by this being a story. Think she's been fighting the power to keep the fighting stories to the back. And losing.

Waiting to see highlights of the line brawl between NJ/NYR Final score Tampons 4, Leafs 1 Tampons trailing the Leafs by only four points with seven games to go. Leafs have to play @shabs, vs Pingu, @nj & vs NJ, vs Detroit, @panthers & @tampons. Tampons @shabs, @pingu, vs Jackets, vs Sens, @caps, vsSabres & vs Leafs. Should be very interesting...

Waiting to see highlights of the line brawl between NJ/NYR Watched the entire game. Ass clown Rempe who holds his own but rarely wins (or gets demolished a la Olivier) has these hockey ignorant tribal Rags fans in an orgasmic frenzy down here. Really sucks that the Devs couldn’t hold on in the 3rd. Since last night — all I’ve heard so far is “the Rangers sending a message to the entire league— Don’t F with this Ranger team”. So few fights in the playoffs and guys like Rempe have should have little or no value These dinks don’t realize there are many of us on this board that watched in the days where last night was a regular occurrence. Then throw in the bench clearing brawls up until around 1971 when the 3rd man in was established to squelch double and triple of what we saw last night.

In the playoffs Rempe won't be in the lineup or will play 3 minutes a night, not worth taking up a spot, he'll be a non factor.

The Rempe phenomenon is such a weird thing, and in many ways, a sign of the times.
I get the appeal, and pretending that fans don't love what happened at the opening faceoff last night is silly. But the hype over this guy is ridiculous. I watched one of his early fights online, and have then been bombarded by the algorithm ever since, feeding me non-stop Rempe stuff online and on my phone. I'm not that interested. He not a very good player from what I can tell. He did well against Reaves but also seemed to really benefit from Reaves being off balance in that fight, and I feel like he's playing Russian roulette with getting knocked out cold when fighting guys like that. His defense isn't great.
Even more somber is watching a young kid recklessly taking fights to live up to his hype and please the fans, with the backdrop of what we know about concussions and CTE. I can't fully separate the news of Chris Simon from a young player taking unnecessary fights and risks, with a big dumb, naive smile. The pre-planned goon dances are dumb, and it's not a great thing to see them coming back. It just seems like a dumb freshmen at the frat party trying to crush beers can with his head to get a laugh. It might not be so amusing down the road. There just seems to be a lot of applause for a stupid kid, giving and taking concussions, right and left.

Kicking all 8 players out for fighting?
Weak NHL.
