Brasseau scored with 1:25 left to tie last night. He has scored well every where he has played. I was surprised he was one of the extra attackers with the net empty. If they could make this brute into a physical guy and still score it would be wonderful.
He never seems to get any accolades down there but he has been nothing but steady no matter whom he has played with.
Bring him up for a 4th look see, send Bo down and off top line.
Monty needs to smarten up on his lines. JVR is playing well and directing his mates, he is worthy of more than he is getting

He put Rempe on his rump, nice tilt Big right at the end by Arse. You can see him throw it but it's just as they spin so that Rempe's back is to the camera, but you can see it land, and then they go down immediately. Rocked him.

Funny how it is with certain fighters eh book? I mean you see these 2 guys & you can see the power behind their punches! Big difference than a PJ Stock. Don't get me wrong! PJ took on some big boys & did VERY well against them, but he wasn't a power puncher in the same manner that Bulldog Jonathan was! I mention Stanley only because he & Stock were almost the same in stature. Stanley was shorter & lighter & just a freak in his fighting abilities! But man! It looked like every fucking one of these smacks hurt didn't it!? Oh & BTW Gofuckyourself! Consider yourself told today! 😘

Time to bring him up and see what we've got. I'd rather see Fabian earn a spot than have Sweeney trade away more picks trying to improve scoring at the deadline. Seems the coach calling him out lit a fire under the kid, enough so that under 10 days later the same coach was back in an interview saying he was playing great. For a team that could use a scoring winger, and in general a bit more offensive creativity, seems like a no brainer to at least reward him with a few games and give him a shot to prove himself at this level. I think in preseason Lysell was really putting pressure on himself to make the jump and it resulted in him squeezing his stick and making things worse. He's got the speed and the skill, he seems to be buying into the team game lately. I want to see what he's got. He's a plus 4, which is better than Merk, and even with Richard -- that's the only two on the team with more points right now so he can't be that bad defensively. On a separate note, looking at the Providence roster there are a few real standouts for plus minus on this team with most of the guys hanging around even --- Regula and Renouf on defense especially are way out in front with plus 26/plus 20 respectively. The next defenseman on that list is Lohrei with a plus 4. For the forwards, Brazeau, Boquist and Faranacci out in front with 16/10/9 as the best 5v5 forwards. Helps explain Boquist's call up. What's the deal with Brazeau? I remember seeing him a few years back playing up in Portland Maine in an ECHL game. Guy is huge, and I just remember him getting grade a chances and sailing it over the net or wide by a few feet at times, but was certainly generating offense. Seems he's come a long way since then. You never expect to see anybody who spent time in the ECHL make it all the way to the show, but seems he's really taken some steps. Would be interested to hear what the eye test says from someone who's been watching the games in Providence.

From Divver: 3 assists and plus 4 for Mason Lohrei today. He has 1-9-10 and plus-10 in 13 AHL games

He has 1-9-10 and plus-10 in 13 AHL games That's what you want to see, coupled with the coaching staff saying that he's doing everything they're asking. If he's just playing rover out there in ways that don't translate to the NHL, then Moulin Rougenel needs to be fired.

I agree he has earned the right too ...but Heinen has played so well that I think they want him Lysell to keep progressing in Providence who has now won 6 in a row and Bussi is playing great too.

Watched a bit of the AHL All star skills competition and saw there wasn't one P-Bruin, they all suck that bad? Per Mark Divver: Providence Bruins @ahlbruins · 9h Forward Georgii Merkulov will be unavailable for tonight's AHL All-Star Skills Competition at Tech CU Arena in San Jose due to travel-related complications. He will participate in the All-Star Challenge event on Monday.

lol yeah I know but at the very least he makes next years team Yah too much sarcasm. But Lysell needs some games this season he's earned it. More than that, I'd like to see him before the deadline. Decisions looming on what to do with Debrusk, whether we need to bolster the offense, etc. More of a feeling of whether Lysell "gets it" would help in making good decisions going forward. If we make deadline moves, we don't have 1st round picks, Lysell is probably the best asset we are willing to give up. So the decision of whether he's on our "no trade" list or not is pretty relevant, pretty soon. In either scenario it's good to see him playing well and raising his value, but all else equal I'd rather see us keep our cheap home grown talent than trade him away in a deadline deal. I think the crux of that decision is "can he help us this year?".
