I don't care how much money they have to eat, but I don't want them to include Henry Owens. I didn't like reading that one.

Cant imagine the Pads taking Panda. Sox are hinky about Shields' fly ball rates at Fenway too. Seems moving Panda would require getting Shields' contract in return. With their 2-5 pitching, he couldnt hurt too much I guess. I still wish they could have grabbed Ross from SD while they were shopping for Kimbrell, but that would have doubled the prospect costs.

This David Ortiz retirement tour is going to be almost painful to watch. Glad he was a Red Sock, did a lot of things, but holy crap is it always about him. Maybe so but its that love for the spotlight that helps him shine at the biggest moments, unlike so many Sox players in the past that completely wilted when the championships were on the line.
If not for ego driven personalities like Ortiz and Schilling, they would still be singing "1918" on trips to Yankee Stadium.

And a little help from some PED's Yep, David hopes no one asks him about that and if they do he ignores the question. No doubt he was a PED user.

This is where I have my eye on Dombrowski, he depleted the Tigers farm system. I would be furious if Owens were part of the package!

Looking at it again, maybe the emphasis was supposed to be on defense? Two all world players one a defenseman and one the best defensive centre maybe ever?

Odor connected with a haymaker, but to his credit Bautista didn't go down. Hope Jimmy Hayes was watching!

It must never get old to punch pepole like that! Reminds me of Colton Orr on Rene Bourque.

Watching my first Red Sox game, Hanley on 1st base with an error. Ok I'll wait another month to watch again.

And a little help from some PED's Yep, David hopes no one asks him about that and if they do he ignores the question. No doubt he was a PED user. The guy has been tested more than anyone over the last decade with nothing, but "no doubt" he's a user. Comments like that sound like there's a different motivation for attacking him other than baseball related. And on a Boston area sports board, no less.

And Carl Crawford is DFA'ed by LA today, eating $35million gifted to them by the Red Sox.
Has there been a worse Boston FA signing, ever?

The Dodgers were dumb enough to take Beckett, Crawford and Gonzalez. Thank you Ben Cherington for getting the Sox out of those horrible signings!

He still plays baseball.
