You know, trying to stay overweight and not get into veritable fat guy territory. Walk the dog for 45 minutes a day but it doesn't matter because I eat too damn much.

Your job from what i take it isn't very physical, more sedentary? Just wondering what would be the driving force behind such a big appetite.

I spent a lot of time as a cook in the restaurant business, and my family is Italian/Spanish, so just about everything centers around a meal and overeating. My nutrition is pretty good, but I can't get enough of pasta/rice/breads/potatoes.

I myself don't have a huge appetite, but do love all types of ethnic cuisine. My weakness is sweets, if its in the house i'll eat it, so its best if i don't even make anything or bring any type of sweets into the house. At least you're getting regular walks in, keep up the good fight Henry!

I drink diet and make ice tea homemade to avoid sugary sodas. Ice tea costs fifty cents a gallon if you make it at home.

I am fit (fiddy) but me cardio is in the process of being updated. Operating system 10.0 is the optim for hiking Mt. Monadnock at least 20 times this summer. I am drinking less which means I am down to 36oz a day. The woman I am with is an excellent cook. I am beginning to use more and more beats. Fish is the mainstay for me. She is meat and potatoes chick. NAS is in shape, funny I always think him as something different, I guess it comes with word usage and stereotypes. Anyho, I don't eat sweets Henry. I do like Johnny Walker blue though.

Down to 168. I've lost 10 lbs since me and Asker has started jogging 5k and walking 5k most days of the week. I'm off the cigarettes since Jan, 2. I miss my morning tea/smoke a lot, but I've changes my routines to stay away from it. Like going in the opposite direction when I leave my house. I elimated as many triggers as possible.

Even though Canada switched to the metric system 40 years ago, I've never met a Canadian who says their weight in kilograms. Keep up the good work and you'll get under 300 pounds by this time next year. Take it one day at a time and don't get discouraged if it takes you 2 or 3 years to get to 70 kilos, which is where you should be if you're 155 cm tall.

I don't use KG as weight unless I'm filling out a waybill & the freight is staying in Canada. If it crosses the border I'll convert it and write both.

Yeah...I've got two dogs - huskies - so I'm walking 2 hours or so a day most days. Play ball hockey because it's somehow easier on my body and my particular injury history than skating. Two hours of that - hockey where you can never glide - is brutal, but I play with old fucks like myself. Gym 2-3 times a week, and a lot of maintenance work. My wife runs 1/2 marathons and duathlons, so she kicks my ass. Exercise is not my issue. Like Henry...and HaggsNeckFat...I like food. There's an old Garfield poster that says something like "once my eating gains momentum, it's hard to slow down." Word, cat. Age has slowed down my metabolism, too, and that doesn't help. That and the lasting effects of old injuries kill me. And I'm not smart about playing sports. A guy I play hockey with runs a football league, and I'm giving serious thought to playing next year. Don't think I'm a deep threat any more.
And yeah, the point of my response to isla...I like the drink. I could probably drop about 15lbs if I went dry for a month. Lately, I'm on Red Racer IPA (6.5%) and Basil Hayden bourbon, but I'm not loyal. Recently it was Cuban rum and GnTs. Between that and a cold-weather-limited cigar habit there's only so healthy I'm willing to be.

You're 700lbs. You can't fight gravity, and you make your own!
