Kids on a tear. Now if the Sox can just have no more starting pitchers being pinch run for big bats. Jezuz Farrell!

Pomeranz finally looks like he might add some value, be interesting to see what happens with Papelbon, it seems like it's 50/50 wether he goes to the Cubs or here. Cubs have an injury in the pen and it would be neat to be part of a championship in Chicago, but then again, he always has maintained how much he loved Boston, to the point where people in Philly got pissed off about it.
Benintendi-Bradley-Betts. What an OF to have for years to come.
Moancada playing 3rd down in the minors, Sox are set up for some success if they can get the pitching.

Either way, that bullpen fucking blows. They make it to the playoffs it's one and done.

I expect the Blue Jays will come out today with quite the chip on their shoulders.
Fawkin Stainkees have closed the gap. Two games back of the wildcad I believe.

The Jays bats are slumping at the worst possible time and their pitching hasn't been stellar either, other than the odd quality start. If they don't get it straightened away they could slip right out of it, the Tigers are making a move as well and are tied for the second WC with the Orioles, and of course never count out the pinstripes.

Through the A-Rod retirement shit, team playing .500 ball, Girardi never wavered. They trade Chapman and Miller, give the young kids a shot and here they are right back int he thick of things. Playoffs or no playoffs, Girardi should get manager of the year.

Good news and Bad news
The bad is Cleveland's bullpen pitched really well last night.
The good is Francona used up his bullpen to eak out the win.
Short series so not time for error on Price's behalf.

Price must have a good game today.
But I agree -- that sure appeared to be an overuse of the bullpen in game 1 by Francona. I guess it'll be smart if they hang on; dumb if they don't.
Have we seen a game with more check swings by the Sox? Good grief, they seemed indecisive and repeatedly fooled by balls in the dirt.

Boagerts has looked lost since the end of July, they've figured him out and he refuses to adjust and hit the ball the other way.
Porcello left more balls up in the zone last night than he did all season.

Yeah, two of those home runs were absolute meatballs -- high in the zone, no movement.

I think it's a stretch to say they've figured him out. He hit .350 for 14 months. He's slumping. It happens. To literally everyone

Geez , what is it with Price and post season play? I don't think Sox are getting five runs off Kluber....

Jack Edwards possible quote, "The Sox are the most vulnerable team when their starter gives up 4 runs or more before the end of the 3rd inning"
